Agree to a point, must not forget this ST has serious amounts of bespoke panels which i would not class as 'parts bin' which the R did not if am correct. I get why everyone is comparing the ST to the R but i think we shall all be shocked at how serious Porsche have taken lengths to make this special, even more so than the R.. Lets face it they did not help themselves by then releasing a 991 touring which, as we all know, negated the R in a lot of ways..

I just really hope they do not spoil the model with this silly sticker 'phase' they are going through, it needs to be classy, i do wonder if it may have fuchs wheels

I suspect that's due to slightly wider rear wheels. European laws require that no part of the wheel/tire can protrude past the body. The plastic extenders likely won't be installed on ROW ST's.

Which panels are bespoke to the ST?

Will be interesting to see how much of that understeer feel will be mitigated by the double wishbone front end

Manual RS, frunk, double bubble roof, wide body, no wing. Limited numbers, unique paint, What’s not to like?

SMFW, RS type adjustability in cockpit would be a super bonus

was not so bad

991 understeer vs 992 too much... precision, had both and yet not so sure what is worst

The double wishbone is great. No downside (I expected it would shrink or remove frunk space, but it doesn’t).

You guys do realize that the 992 GT3 steering feel differences come from the much faster steering ratio right? I'm sure the double wishbone is an improvement too, but that's not what makes the front end feel faster.

Totally agree with that (seems like they did that to make everyone notice the expensive engineering change underneath). However, the double wishbone is a revelation when you push really hard in the corners (recommended for the track).

And I do enjoy the quick ratio and more linear and less artificial feeling compared to the old variable ratio rack…

whatever is the reason, we cant change steering ratio right?

the newer on track and high speed highways, is unbeatable,

the older though is less frenzy when commuting , tight b roads

Not true, can do direct rack. Porsche has one that coincidentally fits.
