I have been so excited for this car.

I am hoping for some exposed carbon stripes or something that really sets it apart from a GT3 Touring. 15hp more, is that even noticeable?

The latest pics look so much like a touring it is very hard to even tell the difference. What happend to the fuch style wheels and wider fenders etc?

For those in the know, is the weight savings being mentioned enough to even be noticeable on the road?

So far the only really exciting thing for me is a softer suspension for the road vs a GT3.

I hope the finished product will really wow us.

Less than 3% change in power cannot be easily felt (particularly when not accompanied by a change in torque or redline or gearing).

Do you feel a difference when you have a passenger or not?

Losing weight from the wheels and brakes is a little more impactful (looks like stock Mags and PCCB’s perhaps).

Both 3% more power and 132 pounds weight reduction will matter against the clock, but difference will be subtle (at best) in terms of feel. It will be easier to feel a more aggressive tuning of the Rear Wheel Steering (like on 911R) and other setup changes.

Still a very cool car…

The power bump is more symbolic than anything.

The RS motor (in addition to having 15hp more), also has a more aggressive cam profile and better oiling. So, it'll be a worthwhile thing to have (particularly fun matched to the manual gearbox). Maybe it'll be more obvious than 3% power seems on the page (won't know til someone compares).

Sounds politically correct
on the other hand , wonderi g wth the ppl was expecting?

Haven"t noticed anything in a 10hp bump from my 991.2 touring to the 992.1 touring, maybe a 5hp will make it

I love all of the subtle changes over the Touring (sadly very excited about the carbon doors and real doorhandles), as well as a special interior so this fits the bill for me. I don't care that it costs more because I'm keeping it and plan to put 100k+ miles on it.

Car will be debuted in September (60yr anniversary of 911) and be focused on weight savings and analog experience include removing rear wheel steering.

Source? I’ve exchanged a few messages with someone who has been driven in the car by a Porsche factory driver and he claims the car handles “noticeably better” than the Touring. I can’t imagine that’s the case without rear wheel steering.

You're the first person to claim September as reveal timing as well.

If it comes with dials on the wheel for suspension and diff, but no DRS I can see it, if someone wants a manual that looks like a normal GT3…
