I feel like Singers are the most overpriced self-indulgent toys ever.

They look great, probably even drive better, but after dropping something like 1.5M (min), no one really drives them.

There are a handful who drive them pretty regularly and do seem to love them. For the most part though, they are just assets that get traded between ultra-rich people and get trailered to Pebble for car week to be driven around for 100 or so miles a year.

Based upon friends (or friends of friends) who have bought or test driven them, the early ones actually don't drive all that great as the engine seems to overwhelm the chassis/suspension pretty easily (this is obv secondhand info), but the newer ones drive really nicely. But not $2M nice. You can buy a whole lot of great cars for that money which are actually rarer since they've built so many Singers now. Like a CGT, F40, etc, etc, etc.

What Singers are we talking about here? BAT has Singers selling for $700k to $1.2M. Even for that, it's a hard pass for me (probably purchased by the same people who drop $300k for a Richard Mille watch).

They look great. Amazing even. I was going to order one and had paperwork ready to sign in 2019. Test drove one and to me felt like a tractor. So didn’t order it. 😅

I don't really understand the resale market for Singers.

Part of the appeal, maybe the main appeal, of a Singer is the ability to customize it exactly to your wishes.

Buying someone else's Singer is sort of like living someone else's dream.

It may be a terrific dream, but it is still someone else's dream.

If I'm spending $1.5m, I'm buying a CGT not a Singer.

‘don’t really fancy c&c for the same reason. Bunch of people with their trophy cars trying to show off the pedestals. I believe in driving and driving hard. And take care of it personally.

Playing devils advocate, the later build Singer Classics are very different cars to the early ones and drive a lot better with lots of refinements.
They also weren't $1.5m cars to the original owners, less than half that in many cases, at which point the 'value for money' makes much more sense.

Only been to 2 shows in my life ever, and one of them was for my buddy's 1000hp 871/562 blown golf cart. The other was to.shoot the **** with the cops running the show since I knew them well.

Odd groups of people for sure.

Have a Cali store with an ST available, asking 250k over MSRP. I think they'd work with me on price a bit if I found a local client.

It's in the showroom and they want 300k over.
