I'm not a fan of the Mission X. I think Porsche is making a huge mistake if they decide to produce an all-electric hypercar based off of Rimac technology.
back on Rennlist to agree with this.. all the EV hypercar OEM’s are sitting on cars which can’t even get a deposit attached to them, let alone payment and delivery.

nobody seems to want to pay a premium for Ev… it’s seen as an appliance, A-B-A commuter perfection, but no passion.

EV Boxster sales will show this in stark reality in the sub $100k segment. But nobody (nobody) wants an EV Porsche $1-2 million. Hypercar.

Thank you for being a real human being which is a rarity around here. Not a VIP but getting a S/T at list because I've bought a lot of cars over 15 years and because the dealer doesn't play games, and when asked about a simple swap of window trim was told there are no CXX slots left. So the guys getting 22 of 23 CXX, congrats to them. The rest of us are still living thru the repercussions of the VIP program. I'm excited to get this car even with a lame-*** color and nothing custom.

I don’t blame folks like @cosmos for Porsche being unwilling / unable to manage demand well. It’s not like these issues weren’t obvious years ago.

I think Porsche is managing supply and demand perfectly as planned.

I also agree - whether the US system with ADM or the EU system based on dealer relationship. Actually the EU system is harder since if you are a first time buyer you will usually not get a new car even if you have f_ck you koney and can pay any ADM. Additionally try to move to Ferrari and then we talk.

Anyone else get a massive push on delivery date? It appears to be a TYD error as the chronology shows huge windows (i.e. Your car has left the German port 08/31 - 09/21) for milestone dates as opposed to the regular singular, estimated dates. My delivery date went from 10/08 to 12/12

991.2 GT3 Touring burst the 911R to some extent

Will the 992.2 GT3 Touring (with ST suspension etc & other tasty options from the 992.1 GT3 RS) burst the ST bubble?

And the 992.2 2wd Turbo manual do the same to the 992 Sport Classic?

Can we not make this yet another value thread? What the 992.2 GT3 is or is not has nothing to do with how good (or not good) the S/T is....the 991.2 GT3 didn't change how awesome the R was, and still is

BTW, the R is selling for 2x more than 991.2 GT3

To be fair, the Touring really only burst the R mega bubble as it was supposed to be the last manual GT car...and when that changed, thats really what did it at the time and we still have R's at 1.75-2x MSRP still today. I dont think anyone in the market for an ST thinks that some of the tricks from it wont head into the 992.2 GT3/T but given the demand for those, its not like that stops about anything money wise anymore as the demand for that car will also be stratospheric. The interesting one is the SC and Turbo IF they were to actually do that...but even still, the unique SC body and general limitation will always command a premium and the SC never really hit that 800k level anyways.

Seeing similar…

10/16 went to 9/25 - 11/25. Maybe they’re being more transparent about the potential ambiguity instead of picking exact dates that can’t be guaranteed.

I was referring to Cxx and alluding to PTS. These customizations are very popular and extremely profitable for other marques. Like 40% margins. Buy a Ferrari as an average customer and you can get vastly more paint options and special requests.

It’s hilarious that not every S/T is a pts. There aren’t that many, and they’re split between VIPs and folks paying 200+ over. This skew is mismanaged. Flat out. Money left,on the table. These are whales who’d pay even more in Cxx options if they could. But they can’t because Porsche can’t handle the supply.

The even funnier part is theres significantly less PTS 3RS than the ST.

Just don't be confused. Its not that Porsche cant facilitate the demand, they dont want too.

I disagree. The best way to get a rich person to part with their cash is to tell them no to keep them in the hunt for the next special product. If every S/T was allowed pts/cxx it would maximize short term profits, but dilute the long term desirability of pts/cxx. A lot of people use pts/cxx for peacocking/status signaling and without that dopamine hit they wouldn’t spend the money.

Sucks for me that I don’t get an Irish green over tan st with “icons of cool” delete, but the strategy is sensible.
