I've been told 1963 cars. We'll have to wait and see.

Potentially triples up as GT/ Heritage & 60th anniversary 911. Although logic suggests Porsche would want 3 bites of the cherry.

So how is this ST going to differ from a GT3 touring?
Rear seats?
Am I the only one struggling to see where this fits into the lineup and its purpose?

Weight, power, suspension, aerodynamics and more exclusive.

From what I've been informed, no.

It's for the collectors like some of us who seek exclusivity and uniqueness.

Looking at the diststant and recent past always helps - I think - when make assumptions about the limited editions Porsches.

The 911ST followed the original 911R (1967) as a race car in 1970. Both being stripped down race versions of the 911S and produced in limited numbers (under 50).

The 991.2 GT3 Touring was very similar to the 911R introduced in 2016. No fixed wing, no rear seats, 4.0l natural aspirated flat six, but not limited (991R=992 cars).

So it makes sense to assume that the new 992ST will be similar to the 991R and the 992 GT3 Touring: limited (1.963 or 1.970 cars), 4.0l GT3 engine, no rear seats, weight savings through race bits like carbon body panels (roof, front, rear), PCCBs, light carpets. Not sure about if the ST will have some of the extreme aerodynamics of the new GT3RS.

My cleaning lady tells me that an announcement will be made in late May. Everything else I have written is just my personal guess.

The components for the original ST came from the Sports Purpose catalog. The components for today’s ST comes from the Collector’s Purpose catalog.

And lightweight Manual…(like the 911R was a wingless lightweight Manual RS for 991.1 with retro design elements).

It's the perfect car for me. I daily my Touring so I prefer the wingless look as it flies more under the radar. I want a manual (ST is manual only). I track my Touring 2-3 times a year, the ST gets aero bits from the 3RS so likely a nice upgrade for the track for me. I love special interiors and all heritage cars get a special interior.

It's the all around perfect package for me

No question it will be fantastic but will it be worth cost? Sticker 300k? Double that with adm? That's singer money which would make great comparison test
