I drove mine another 50miles last night and it sits again at 1999miles and even as a cruiser idk, I just can't justify keeping as I'm having to force myself to like it.
I truly hope the ST lives to your expectations and likely will since you like your 4RS.

I know this has been brought up before, but FAL is 13.5lbs (6.12kg) - it seems against the design 'spirit' of the S/T to spec it, when it in essence negates the weight saved from the CFRP shear panel + the lightweight carpets + CFRP doors... I didn't have it on my 992, and sometimes regretted the decision, but in reality, most of the places I scraped I wouldn't have known to deploy FAL anyways. I've also heard that FAL causes scraping on the rear diffuser (which isn't designed to be as easily replaceable as the front plastic bits). Any thoughts from those that have had a 911 with and without FAL?

Just get it, for the 992 GT3 (I had a touring), you use it to get the nose over something then put it down if youre worried about the rear. 13 lbs here isnt making ANY difference you'll feel at this point on the road, and yes, it will, should you ever sell the car, be an annoying issue that will cost more than the cost to put it on. Rennlist is the ONLY place you'll see people say to not get it, real world average high end car buyers almost unilaterally want it on low cars. Im ordering it on mine as well, and I use it to get into my garage daily. FWIW, not having FAL stopped me from buying a specific 911R and 918 in the recent few years in favor of cars that had it...it's that big of a thing for many.

Man I wish I could say the same for the 4RS. I had to get a tire repaired on my TTS and my guy who deals with major players in the track world asked how the 4RS is and he said everyone he knows who has had a 4RS and pushes the car hard sells it due to lack of delivered performance. And the ones who love it and keep use it as a soft run around car. One of his customers has photos of him catching complete air coming out of a curve where his GT3RS stays perfectly planted. Dude almost went off track with it and sold shortly after.

my point is, the 4RS is an absolutely wonderful car. If your source says everyone is selling them, I would argue it’s because the drivers are inexperienced and more worried about comparing d..k sizes, I mean laps times. And no doubt the 4RS can be a tricky car to lay down quick laps

No RWD, louder in the cab, Visceral, yet enough power to have fun without frills. I said it before, Porsche held back the 4RS. It would've easily outshined the 3rs with better suspension and a tiny bit more aero up front. Slightly wider would've been nicer aswell.

4RS is not a poser track car. If you are not an experienced track driver it will bite you, very similar to the 991.1 RS. Think about it, the 4RS has old school suspension, no rear steering and has much less tire on the ground, but has about same HP. As such, it’s much more of a handful to drive at the limit than any of the 992 GT cars. If you are not an experienced driver it can be a bit hairy. But to someone like me who is very experienced the 4RS is an absolute riot. it makes you work to extract quick laps, you have to hustle it thru the turns. The 992 GT3 is so easy to drive quick laps, almost anyone can get it one and run laps that a few years ago only experienced drivers could lay down, it’s shocking.
