Quality Concerns with the new GT3

Burning Brakes
Don't we have to take the good with the downside though? As the vehicle becomes more highly tuned, bigger, lighter, harder, stiffer, ..... its closer in build to a track car then a daily road car. There is going to be less softness, tolerances and margin. That leads to things breaking. Ever known a race car not to have issues ? So I can sort of understand the mechanics and physics of a few of the issues. This includes design issues, where perhaps the daily road car pleasantries again conflict with the car for what it is.
Admittedly its the electronics that worry me.. but again, might simply be the fact that someone "from purchasing" found an alternative chip supplier on the internet...

Better than any previous version of the GT3 or worth making a change? Thats subjective and depends entirely on ones preferences in a car of this nature. For me, the 992 GT3 ticks the boxes that I would want in making a change from a 991.2 GT3 or even my 991.2 GT3RS.
The quality issues will be fixed. Porsche always sorts things out. It's one huge reason why I stick with the brand.
A sidenote: 3-Pedals has been blocked by many on this forum for posts that are based on generalizations and utter nonsense.

Basing ones decision on posts by the likes of 3-Pedals (who have not owned a 992 GT3) would be folly. The 992 GT3 is without doubt an awesome car and IMO is an engineering marvel.

I had a very early one too, no problems. No car is perfect. All have compromises. I think it’s an improvement over my 991.2. YMMV.

My GT3 was built in late September and has 320 miles on it so far. The only issue I have is a slight rattle in the drivers door upon cold start but I don’t notice it when driving. I’ll report back as my miles increase.

Problems with low volume high performance cars tend to turn an otherwise cloudy day into ‘the sky is falling’!

all my previous GT cars had after market exhaust and I can swear that they had no rattles or I did not hear any
for that matter , I don't remember hearing the radio either

No slight on 992; I never saw the reason to change my 991.1 either until now and may keep it as I believe 991s will end up as the sweet spot in moderns 911s.
It amazes me to see most on this forum trading in and out - multiple iterations even with the same generation. Grass is not always greener. Dealer's take advantage, drives up prices, and feeds on itselt.

Not uncommon for people to skip the "next" generation with 911s, GT3s are not immune from this - Porsche improvements are incremental on all generations.
