The CA manual flip/flop delayed my car by two months, but about half the delay was because of the summer shutdown of the factory. There were some problems/delays with my dealer getting my order switched back, so that definitely contributed. It’s painful watching the cars come in, knowing mine was supposed to have been in the early wave.

No but my car just left the port of Baltimore towards my dealer!!! Hopefully Monday I'll get it as long as they get the car in a couple days.

Hello - no still not seeing any data on TYD - was communicating with PCNA rep around Exclusive options. Dealer/sales people seem to know nada, or don't know how to look the info up.

Not a big deal for my situation so far - I think this will be the case with all US Tourings, and I have an awesome 991.1 to drive! I am still not sure I want to part with this car for a bigger one with no sunroof ... more time to work on the wife!

Tourings were likely delayed as Porsche shifted schedules around to favor PDKs.

And then there's real chip shortages - many winged cars sitting off to the side of production or at port - CV19, floods, summer vacations... take your pick. All adding to extended schedule. I am not in a rush - would rather have the time to see the car and get my options right...

Has anyone heard anything in regards to whether Porsche is releasing more allocations to the dealership in the US yet? I'm #2 at mine and up next. I really just want to get an order in so I can stop thinking about it haha. All good if it doesn't show up till next year at this point.

If you have been in line for two years, why weren't you in the first batch of allocations?

As has been shared in these threads - this isn't anything new with buying these cars. It all comes down to what the dealer wants to do and who they want to sell the cars to - a deposit doesn't mean anything.

Example, I had a deposit on a 991.2 GT2 RS (#2 on list a year before release) - dealer got 2 of them and I got a check back in the mail. Until there is purchase agreement and confirmed order I don't assume I have a car.

Because the dealership only got 1 allocation so far. It's apparently being delivered in November.

Yeah, I know all of that as I've done a lot of research myself. With no commission number, nothing is set in stone. However, it's a small enough dealership that it would be pretty difficult for it to not surface if they are flat out lying about allocation numbers and all that. It doesn't sound like they are really trying to play games as they have been communicating quite a bit, but who knows. It just sounds like they are super frustrated with allocations numbers in general from Porsche (not just the GT cars). Not sure what the deal is. By their own account they normally get 4-6 a year for the GT cars but to date have only received 1. Super frustrating for everyone. This would be my first GT car and my first brand new Porsche as well. It's sad that the excitement is starting to turn to irritation that longer this gets dragged out. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for a little luck and trying to stay optimistic. Would love to be sharing fun stories with all of you as well!

Does this mean no TPMS chip issue on your car and you might get it this weekend?
