992 GT3 Touring!

Meh
Slower on the street than a Carrera S. Far less comfortable — looks like the rumors of it having the same rough riding suspension as the regular GT3 are true. No back seats. The new GT3s are easily the most homely looking of the 992 variants.
Yes, 9K RPM is fun. On the street, making more torque starting at around 2500 RPM than the GT3 ever makes is more fun. The GT3 makes less horsepower than the Carrera S until around 5000 RPM.
Add in the spectacular ADM and there’s not much that excites me here.

Come on man. It looks epic, and it will sound even better. “More fun” ? Define fun. They’re all epic cars. And a some don’t have rear seats for the ‘family’.

Nice. I'd take one in Agate with Satin Darksilver wheels, PDK and 18-ways instead of the buckets. No need for a back seat so that's just fine. I wouldn't pay a dime over MSRP though, and not in line anywhere so there isn't one in my future lol.

I would be all over a GT3 with back seats. Part of me got excited at the notion that they would be option. Sadly, that doesn’t appear to be the case. Yes, I know that they are vestigial and of limited utility. It’s not like I even use mine that often, but when called to action, they are useful. For example, this evening, I had to run the kids to Target and just felt like taking the 911. It’s nice to have that option.

The car will have presence and it's stance and profile will be perfect, I'm sure. Just not feeling those nostrils, though.
I also don't like that you're apparently forced to have chrome window trim. There doesn't seem to be an option for black trim.

The 992 GT3 Touring Configurator is up. You can spec black window trim by selecting "Touring Package in Black".

I wish they would just keep the roof rack mounting points as well. Cant imagine it is any significant weight savings and significantly increases the utility to carry bikes/skis etc.

Missed opportunity
Front end looks weird.
back end looks too wide … like they’re just trying to be wide. That single rear light it already looking dated as everyone is doing it in since 2019.
Touring should have had the ducktail from the winged version. That would have been epic.
oh well … but Porsche will still sell
them all.

Tell me about it..
I don't understand the "scoop" or break light on top of the rear grill design wise. It's a bit of a miss and I would have expected it to disappear from the final design. The 991.2 Touring or 911R pure mesh grill looks so much more sleek and timeless. Yesterday, I was still ready to bet big money that they would retain that classic look on the 992 GT3T. I guess they had to "upgrade" something also looks wise.. Does that big %ss "clam shell" have any functionality, other than emitting red light when breaking? It doesn't look like it would operate as an additional air intake channel etc (like one could have expected)... I may be wrong though.
