Yes, 9K RPM is fun. On the street, making more torque starting at around 2500 RPM than the GT3 ever makes is more fun. The GT3 makes less horsepower than the Carrera S until around 5000 RPM.

Add in the spectacular ADM and there’s not much that excites me here.
Drive a C2S and a GT3 back to back and your opinion will change

No rear seat, no fixed aesthetics, no reason to buy. The 570 does everything the GT3 would do for me, except with more personality and more pleasant to look at.

Maybe the .2 will be better.

why even be on a GT sub-forum if backseats and comfy rides are your thing?

really...

just to slag off an entire GT community?

The "back seats" in a 911 are hardly comfortable for anyone over, say, 5 feet. The back seats are handy for carrying groceries, golf clubs and the like. Yes, a baby seat fits back there but either the driver or the front seat passenger is going to have his/her knees in his/her nose because the seat will need to be way forward (ask me how I know). I have back seats in my GTS and not once has an adult passenger been comfortable back there. They hate it. I can only imagine how uncomfortable it would be in the back of a GT3, given the tight quarters and the noise. It would be LOUD back there. No way I would subject a child to that noise, either.

In other words, yeah, I see why the prospect of back seats in the Touring is attractive to some, but in all practicality, using the Touring to transport anyone in the back does not make a lot of sense.

This!

Way back in 2015 or 2016, don't remember. I drove my 997.2 to the dealer to drive a 991.1 GT3, I also took out a 991.1 S.....no comparison. I'm happy I went home in my 997 and will only get a GT 911 going forward. Vastly different experience. I can only imagine that gap has widened with 991.2 and 992 non GT 911s.

I use the backseats all the time for my little people. The noise & excitement is there when you want it, but can be a respectably quiet ride at low rpms. My son loves it & it will be those memories my family has together in the car that makes the car special. The idea of having a NA cup engine with backseats would be quintessential ‘touring’ for me. I understand different cars suit different lifestyles. This is just the view through someone else’s lenze.

Reality has set in. The GT car is a single mans toy. The non-GT car is a family mans toy.

Single mans toy? Ha, okay, guess I'd better sell mine. Maybe I need to adjust my lenze...

In lieu of back seats I could see having a nice shelf back there being quite practical. I've never used the back seats in my T.

I also wished the scoop had some purpose, other than just being the placeholder for the break light (maybe it has), so the shape would make sense and also my eyes would understand what the designer has tried to achieve with it. I've always thought that the way the break light is neatly integrated on top of the 991.2 GT3T's engine grill, is a pretty much perfect solution (and thus difficult to improve on). I also very much liked the difference in the looks that the large mesh grill gave to the rear view of the GT3T in comparison to a regular Carrera of the 991.2 generation. Whereas now, the design of the new scoop takes a bit away from the beautiful simple and raw shape that the mesh grill had before. However, don't get me wrong. In its entirety, I do like the shapes and stance of the new Touring very much. A slightly different design on the engine grill and the break light would have been a cherry on the top (for my eyes). Although, likely it'll just take some getting used to it and perhaps I'll begin to appreciate the new way more in the future... Lack of the backseat is a much bigger issue to me as well, because that means I can't (for instance) take the wife and the kid for an every summer trans European Grand Tour in the Touring which would have been a perfect use case for it..

Any one who even had an inkling of a thought the GT3 Touring would come with back seats must be smoking the same sh*t the Politicians in CA are about not allowing Manuals in their State

I definitely wouldn't have thought it myself until I saw an Instagram conversation with Andreas Preuninger (a screencap of it can be found in the Touring Waiting Room thread) where he himself confirmed that they were working hard to make it happen... That's what I was smoking... Would you like to have one too?
