Cant they just add the exhaust particulate filter to manual models? This is no different from european spec manual cars, since they all come out of the same factories anyway.
I’m sure they will find a solution. It will still take time to get the car certified, regardless.

Of course. This is the consequence of being a snowflake in a snowflake state. California sucks.

I don’t believe that has been confirmed. The GPF was fitted to the 4.0/GT4/Spyder in the states. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was standardized for the GT3.

Does this apply to used cars? If not there is going to be a ton of used GT3’s run through shill buyers.

Or Montana plates will be making a comeback in CA.

Was thinking of moving back to Texas, I'll either move or have no use for my left leg anymore.

We like driving year round and not parking our cars for 8 months while we freeze our asses.

This is false, the GPF is not fitted to the 718 gt4/spyder in the states. [timestamp 1:20]

Looks like pre-owned manual 991.2 GT3 prices will only continue to climb, at least out here in California, with this news. That is very disappointing news, the manual "ban." I imagine buying one in a nearby state and having it shipped in will not work because of the regulation?

GPFs are installed in US cars but they are not monitored.

Guessing no CA dealer will be able to take delivery, regardless of where the buyer lives, or says they live.

Doesn't make sense to me, is the law specific only for manuals? All the ridiculously loud Chargers, Challengers, Lambos, Ferraris, are still being sold and the GT3 is not that loud.

btw, CA is the highest represented state of Porsche owners, per Porsche- I have no doubt they'll find a solution.
