In California, all GT3 models are PDK-only!

I’m sure they will find a solution. It will still take time to get the car certified, regardless.

could one get around this by registering the car out of state? Or if you reside in california but also have an out of california address, could you buy from a california dealer as an out of state buyer, thus being able to get the manual?
Or is this for any purchase made at a california dealer irregardless of where you live?

Looks like pre-owned manual 991.2 GT3 prices will only continue to climb, at least out here in California, with this news. That is very disappointing news, the manual "ban." I imagine buying one in a nearby state and having it shipped in will not work because of the regulation?

This is false, the GPF is not fitted to the 718 gt4/spyder in the states. [timestamp 1:20] https://youtu.be/ST0xjd4bfsI?t=80

Doesn't make sense to me, is the law specific only for manuals? All the ridiculously loud Chargers, Challengers, Lambos, Ferraris, are still being sold and the GT3 is not that loud.
btw, CA is the highest represented state of Porsche owners, per Porsche- I have no doubt they'll find a solution.
