Is that enough time to confirm your configuration? These first world issues sometimes take months to sort out!!

You should take April off.

For the 991.2’s the touring version was just an option in the GT3 configurator, I suspect it would be the same for the 992’s.

I was told the GT3 classic and the GT3 touring are separate models this time because with the 992 there is much more differentiating the touring than there was with the 991, which was just the absence of a wing and some interior leather bits. I'm interested to see what this means when the touring is introduced.

For what it is worth, I have been told that I have an allocation for a Touring with an October build date and that it was confirmed by PCNA that it will be a PTS build.

I have been told the same thing by my dealer. While I was at the dealership yesterday, he confirmed that 31 March was still the "go live" date for the configurator, but he wasn't completely certain that both the Classis and the Touring model configurators would be available initially. He was hopeful that both would be available on the 31st, but believes there is a good possibility that the initial configurator will just be for the "Classic" version.

I heard Touring announcement in May, so can’t imagine Touring configurator could preempt that...

I’ve been told by my dealer that they already have 2 (out of 8) allocations for Tourings. So it seems strange they would wait another month + to announce a model that they already have given allocations for.

I've been in touch with several dealerships and here is what I can surmise. All allocations for the year have been given out for both the touring and the winged car. There are a couple of exceptions however. The franchise owners who are expanding their facilities to meet Porsches Gen 5 requirements are being rewarded with additional allocations later this year. I know two dealerships that fall into this category. I'm sure there are many. SAs have the ability to configure your car since March 22nd but still do not yet know the price of the car until it is officially announced. I'm guessing that will be on the 31st.

So they dropped allocations to the dealers on the 22nd?

I didn't say that. The configurator was opened up in their system on the 22nd. I believe that dealers got their allocations on the 5th of March
