Yea with 991.2 MSRP of $143k I doubt it’ll break $160k... though could be wrong 🤷🏻‍♂️
will just have to wait

GT4 went up 15k over four model years. I suspect something around 160k is realistic.

That is because 981 GT4 was significantly under priced to begin with.....

My crystal ball says MSRP w/ destination will be a hair under $160K, after PCCB, buckets and few basic options you are in the $180'sK. Then ADM will make this a $200K car if purchased this year. ADM will drop to $10K over in H1 '22, then MSRP in H2 '22. Due to the high price in '21, I may have to sit this one out and go find a C8 Z06 allocation for the time being.

I guess you expect that trend to continue with the GT4? Every iteration will have a 15k price bump. Easy to see why this doesn't work (and why 718 GT4 is'nt moving like 981). If you express this as a % bump, which would make more sense, the argument becomes more compelling on the gt4. I think 981 was 84k base so around 18% base price increase - not sustainable.

As others have said. 981 was underpriced and 718 was a market correction that over-reached. Hopefully Porsche has a hangover from that..

155k

Manhattan, no one is questioning you receiving the email from your dealer. I'm fairly certain that your dealer did not get actual allocations but guessed as to what he will receive based on his past allocations with Porsche. Since this is a February model introduction, allocations usually are given sometime in March.

BTW, I very much doubt the MSRP on the 992GT3 will be over $170,000. I guess around $165,000.

Keep in mind that several items were included as std in the 718 in that increase that were either optional or not available in the 981: BU Cam, SAT (opt), PCM (CDR std). Even accounting for those with the PAG luxury tax there was an increase of approx $12k

Z06 should be a very capable and exciting car .. the flat plane V8 should be pretty amazing, but no manual option pushes me towards a GT3 (buckets and FAL are all i care about) ... also the way the C8 is going for $20-30K over MSRP even on the USED market (and honestly from some examples i've seen, the used cars are even more expensive usually with <50 miles??), i'm a little worried about the Z06 being sold for similar markups. Combined with the factory strikes i'm not holding my breath (anymore). still pumped to see/hear them. good luck with your allocation!

Happy to help Michael! Looks like you and a fellow RLer have snagged 2 of the 3 GT3 allocation spots they had. Remember- it’s not about who signs the deposit form first, it’s about who sends them the check/funds first!

btw, they also have a Targa 4S Heritage Design slot available.

Man, I should at least get a referral bonus from the dealer

Boy- so glad I have no skin in this game. I am just going to throw a bar of butter on the stove for my popcorn!!!

- Betting MSRP north of $160,000 - figure $164,000

- Dealers already have an idea of how many cars each will be getting so not surprised if Dealers pre-selling with ADM. Then they can show and request more slots and Porsche can get a good idea on how many they may decide to produce.

Does the price really matter? Give or take 10k.

If you want one, having the car listed at 160 versus 170 isn’t really going to deter most people from getting one.
