I think COVID qualifies as very unusual so introduction early next year is likely.

Chris3693, has the best info outside of 918 owners, and he thinks the GT3 reveal will be Jan 2021, with the touring a few months later. That would mean europe getting their first cars at beginning of summer and north america getting theirs at the end of the summer, so 2022 model seems likely now.

The 992 came out late April 2019 as a 2020 model. The GT3 is expected around the same time 2021... probably as a 2022 model...

Which means they could intro it around Geneva timeframe- March 2021? Then say the car will begin showing up as a 2022.

Edit: there is no Geneva autoshow but perhaps a virtual reveal somewhere at a track in March? Will be interesting.

Isn’t it funny how some people just can’t seem to get their head around reading between the lines...

When I looked on Wikipedia, it said the US reveal of 992 Carrera S was November 2018 at the Porsche Experience center in L.A.

Maybe we are confusing date of reveal and when the cars actually show up in dealerships?

I'm hoping the reveal is still this year (but certainly don't expect to see them in dealerships then). I guess January 2021 is the next best thing

do you think we will see GT3 ‘21 GT4RS ‘22 GT3RS ‘23 (50th anniversary of 1973 RS)?

Could be. Usually the GT3 RS follows the GT3 by one year (the 50th Anniversary RS and maybe RSR could be separate limited edition to follow)

If you read the post a little further up, that is what I say - reveal Nov-18. But what matters, to me at least, isn’t when it is revealed, but when it is produced. From there it all can be guesstimated. Or maybe the cat is already out of the bag...

OK, thanks. I'm hoping reveal may happen this year...

Better not be 503bhp. Anything less than 550bhp would be disappointing.

Oh, I wouldn’t take page 2 very seriously. It is old clips of text from various sources that easily can be recognized ... and it is old. The only interesting is the first sentence from Mr. Preuninger and the render of the car, which is the best seen so far.

I would take AP’s comments in the context of PR 60%, actual engineering/performance 40%.
