I know, so start calculating backwards... When does it need to be manufactured in order to be delivered at that point and how long time is it normally between reveal and production...

So does 8 speed transmission mean same interior and nubbin as current 992?

I’ve wondered the same, but have been told it will carry over. Though I haven’t seen any spy shots of interior. 🤷🏼‍♂️

992 GT won’t necessarily get the 8 speed transmission as that is intended for the future hybrid Carrera and is significantly heavier.

Still very possible that the 992 GT3 will come with same 7 speed PDK-S tansmission as the gearing is already optimized for GT cars and its lighter than 8 speed.

A gear **** similar to 991 PDK-S gear **** will carry over to 992 GT3, though I expect the 992 GT cars will still have the piano looking center console

I'm hearing there won't be a PDK gear selector at all in the GT models. Just haptic touch screen buttons.

I heard they are eliminating the steering wheel. Just a touch screen steering wheel.

Currently the 992 GT3 doesn't exist, can't imagine any better weight savings than that!

Of topic question here....one that came to my attention given the impending January reveal of the GT3. Does anyone know if you could order the 991.2 with power folding mirrors? Given that I live in NYC, parking garage space is the best I have to park the car in, and folding mirrors really help in preventing any....situations (believe me, parking attendants here in NY are not the most careful bunch, so much so in fact that I still park my own cars in the garages). With this new massive GT wing and turbo width rear track coming into focus, this car is going to need all the help it can get surviving in NYC.

Than again maybe I am a little ahead of myself.

so with the turbo wide body hips, I found it mostly irrelevant. Folding mirrors don’t make enough of a difference when the her *** is that fat

As other said, mirrors do not stick out much compared to the hips, if at all. They also protect doors from dings.

...and the sport design mirrors can be manually turned inward. Takes 2 seconds per side.
