I'll ask the question of the week......... When is this thing going to be announced? I heard September and then something else. I don't care about any of the specs - its going to be good no matter what and I am going to buy one. I've been on a waiting list at two different dealerships for 18 months now.

Once again, the GT3 lap times don't really matter unless (1) you think you're as good as Lars Kern (2) have a whole pile of CUP2R with tire warmers and ready to go at your disposal and (3) have a clear ring ~ 20 degrees C on a dry day (4) checking the goods out to see if it may make a decent base to work from.
Moreover, the current cars e.g. GT3RS and GT2RS are very much tire limited - there is a pile of headroom in them. In contrast the GT3 needs a lot of improvement - however, so much will be dependant on the way Porsche sees the market going. I suspect it will end up being an ever bigger, faster, soft roader.
You'll love it in the US.

For example, a Ring time on a 991.1 GTS is like 7:38, a 991.2 GTS is about 7:25 (or 7:22 with better track tires), and a GT3 is 7:12 or so. On a DRY track. Well if you drove them back-back-back you'd see the capability difference, but on the street in the real world is another story. Always compromise and no car is perfect. If you're taking a long trip, the 991.2 GTS with a Burm is probably a better choice. But hey different strokes-
A 991.2 GT3RS is a track beast compared to those but driving it on the street every day would absolutely suck IMO, just due to the ride quality.

^^ What Martin said, it is fine on smooth roads but man, in the UK I couldn't drive it every day.
The turbo's feel faster and sometimes are just faster depending on where in the powerband you can exit a corner.

A couple of factors here... early mule and the track is Monza. The 90 degree right turn that goes directly into a 90 degree left turn at the end of the start/finish straight is a complete killer. Few will ever manage that well. Then, there's another chicane/turn combination after you go under the bridge with a high speed left into a half curved turn to the right and then into a sharper left, which is taken at a very high speed. Considering this is a video of an early mule and if compared up against cup cars racing the same corners... this is doing very well! I think it is important to know how this actually is laid out in the real world before commenting and having thoughts on what you see in this video. Most would probably **** their pants if they were a passenger in those cars we here see. 😅
