I'm confident he will take care of those failed tiles -- he did in my case, for free with no shipping charges. I think there is also a GarageJounral discount code for Racedeck.

EDIT: It looks like Costco's Motofloor may be made by Racedeck and is reportedly lighter duty (I would research more to be sure, threads aren't always accurate): https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/...otofloor.7107/

.
My garage has the Motofloor tiles from Costco. They look nice and are easy to clean and replace. However the tiles can easily get dented when working with jack stands or floor jacks as they sit into the plastic. I've had to replace a few tiles from this. Probably fixed by just putting a flat piece of wood underneath the stand or floor jack.

I've never owned Racedeck, but the picture of that dude's tiles is crazy and the only bad review of THAT nature I've ever seen for the brand. Or Swisstrax. I certainly have to believe him, but it's so way off the norm.

I also had a HORRIBLE experience with RaceDeck. It was so bad I ended up replacing my entire floor with Swisstrax and eating the cost. Fit was horrible. They expanded and contracted WAY more then they claimed and that was in SoCal without any real extreme temps. You had to leave a huge gap that was ugly.

I am now on my third garage with Swisstrax. Their products is 1000% better at the same cost IMO.

Well then I stand corrected. Wonder if they have made improvements? I find it hard to believe they would still be in business after seeing that picture. I went with porcelain tile and epoxy grout but this is my last house...for sure.

I have Swisstrax in my garage and I haven't had any issues. The tiles are thicker than Racedeck (3/4" vs. 1/2") so it's less prone to warping and bigger (15-3/4" vs. 12"). I think Swisstrax gets a bad rap at times because people think it's the same as Racedeck.

Agreed and you are correct about the thickness. I do believe that makes all the difference in the world.

As a side note the Swisstrax I have personally installed can be installed right up to the edge with zero gap (Racedeck at least used to tell you you had to leave about a 1/2in gap). Now in KY (unlike Socal) we get far larger swings in temp from about 0 to well Mercury hot like today 96 and probably 40% humidity. Absolutely zero expansion or contraction.

Why was this posted in the 991 specific area? This should have been moved to a general area back in 2017.

Dude you just got here. You already got slammed a teeny bit for complaining about the Ferrari Roma vs 991 thread being here, and people were goofing on your screen name The Jerk. I have a funny feeling something's going on here.

The reason we post is we want opinions from our friends, and oft times we make Rennlist friends by owning the same Porsche, whether it's a GT car, longhood, Cayenne, Boxster, 914, whatever. But looking at your comments, you aren't going to be chatting with people much esp if you complain about threads started by long-time members.

Take a happy pill. Back in my time we called them Quaaludes, but most people missed that bit of magic.

I bring you the So Cal two-car special. Motofloor from Costco completed. Bought three different combos. Black and white, black and alloy, and charcoal. Very happy with the whole process and how it turned out. About $3.50sf and very easy to put together.

Default Stone composite luxury vinyl flooring??

Anyone has experience with this?

I am looking at swisstrax but I’ve heard there’s a squeaking sound when walk or drive over swisstrax, that’d be annoying.

let me know if anyone has experience with this product: https://newageproducts.com/flooring/...rage-flooring/

I have Swisstrax and I have never experienced squeaking sounds when walking or driving over it. It's thicker than other plastic floorings so it's never been a problem.
