How much do you get back for dropping during the hibernation months. You can drop collision, but need to keep comprehensive. I also drop during hibernation month and savings is not that much - about $150, maybe less.

I am paying $1,155 a year for my 2014 911 C2 and it is classified as my commuter car. My 2016 GTI is classified as pleasure and costs me $912. Plus $76 each to add them to my $2M umbrella liability policy.
Phila suburbs - Encompass Insurance.

Unless he lives in a high crime part of the city or has a bad driving record, it makes no sense. I pay about $800 a year for my C2S here in Silicon Valley. I believe my mileage rating on the car is 5k per year.

Who is your insurance provider?
I need to shop around. $2k/yr. is too much. I don't live in a bad area, and have a clean record.

Am I the boy one with a rider? I carry a $15K rider in addition to the regular policy to cover the additions to the car.

Wow, some of you guys are paying a lot for insurance. If my insurance on a basic C2S was $1,500+ a year, I'd probably sell it on principle alone. Given the market value of my car, that's just nuts for someone with a clean record.

I'm changing from CSAAA to Geico as of 7/1. Limits $500K/$500K/$100K, Col $1K/Comp $100. Geico was $1358/yr, CSAAA $1595/yr. Multi car and homeowners discounts. 2017 C2S Cab, 10K mi/yr.

I live in the City of San Francisco and my 991 C2S is my daily driver

1000/Collision
250/Comprehensive
300k/Bodily Injury
Roadside
Car Rental
Uninsured Motorist
Geico
$764/ 6months.

When I had my garage as being garaged in San Jose, it was considerably cheaper. Even different neighborhoods in San Francisco vary in price quite a bit.

My premium dropped $100 when I moved 1.5 miles within the city. I am assuming they also take into consideration crime rates in the area.

For your amusement, the 2013 991 is the cheapest (modern) car at my house - makes little sense

- Carrera is $500 / 6mo with low miles
- Wife's 2010 RR sport is $550 (it's worth less than 1/2 the porsche)
- Leased Electric golf beater is $600 !! (Cheapest car of them all) ???
- 1974 2002 is $200 / 6mo !! with some mile limitations and agreed value !

I pay too much for insurance...

Great thread, just realized I can switch from Farmer's to Geico and save over half. $2200/6 months for my Carrera, my wife's Panamera, my 26 yo daughter's Altima and my 22 yo daughter's Escape.
