Default Supposed 991 GT2 reveal

I just found this on Youtube:

We should take bets on pricing. I think it will start at $225k and be worth $500k in a year.

I think Msrp will be well over 225 if the near 10 year old 997gt2 was 200+. I hope they make 1000 of them.

Let's compromise. How's 991?

991 is good for us mere mortals (budget and driving ability).

To be honest if I were a billionaire. I'd probably probably get a 991.2 turbo until my driving skills justifies a GT car.

Throw away the rear seats and the front diff when it starts leaking and you're almost there.

Yes it was...LOL. I just don't follow that forum because I'm not the market for a GT3...for now.

This is one of many reveals of the new GT2. I don't think I can ever remember seeing so many 'official' releases of a prototype pre-production camo car! The Porsche hype machine in full gear....With all units sold out probably 3X over, why are they doing this? I doubt reading about this car is going to make me want to go out and buy a new Cayenne

Clearly this is orchestrated by Porsche. Maybe not a Cayenne....but a new 911. Sales of 911s are way down in the US.

I think this is the new normal
in the internet age. You need
to generate clicks. You do that
by creating click bait and getting
forums buzzing.

Short attn span needs
stimulation.

Now what was i talking about?

Oh yeah, the car makers
are waging a proxy war on each
other thru YouTube and Instagram.

So if Macca has a MrJWW 720s video
that gets 1M views, Porsche can't
just stand idly by!

That's why Shmee and MrJWW
and YouTube car "mags" are the places
to launch.

But I do agree it's odd, seeing
such an ugly prototype as the
"launch vehicle"

Do you think sales of 911 are down b/c of TT engines or general downturn in the luxury car markets? I heard May was super bad for BMW too.

Wasn't trying to make it a gotcha moment. Just wanted to point out a source of way more information.
