Default PCM Rebooting/Map Not Loading

Pulled the cover off, disconnected the trickle charger, adjusted the air pressure and took a short ride after a long New England winter. My Sirius subscription from the prior owner had expired over the winter (knew that was coming). During my short ride and while in the driveway, the PCM kept rebooting and the Map Loading never went away (no Map or Nav).

From a Forum search, sounds like a dealer trip for a software upgrade but thought I'd try to see if there are any other things to try (I did try holding the On/Off button down and restarting, which was mentioned before, with no luck).

Thanks for any ideas!
Jon

Try this and let us know if it helps/works:

Hold the INFO and SOUND Buttons at the same time for about 10 - 15 seconds to Reboot/Reset

Thanks. That seems to cause a reset but still hangs on "Map Loading".

Are you outside or in garage. May need to be outside where the car can get locked on to GPS (just guessing).

I haven't had the issue w/maps, but with my pcm, it kept rebooting whenever I connected my S5 via Bluetooth. The dealer upgraded pcm ver from 4.75 > 4.76. Everything seemed fine for about 1k miles until it happened again. Car is going back Friday, I think they ordered a replacement pcm. As a reference, I have a 2015 C2.

Took it for a ride today and the PCM rebooted every 5 minutes and returned to the station it was on when the car started, and never got past "Map Loading". The internal HD doesn't show up either. My (uneducated) guess is the hard drive crashed and will need to be replaced. Dealer tomorrow...

Mine did the same thing. Map stuck on loading.
Dealer said hard drive crashed and replaced with new PCM.

Is this different than holding the volume control down for 10-15 seconds? I may try this to resolve a different problem if it is different.
thank you in advance.

Never heard of holding volume down or what that does. I think all that does it turn off the PCM?

no, I have used it before and reboots the PCM. Like when you first start the car. Your model silhouette appears and then it loads the NAV etc. By my observation, this only performs a reboot.
What I am wondering is how to reset all the settings, specifically the WiFi, Porsche Connect etc etc...

Dealer also replaced my pcm on Friday, started rebooting again on Saturday. Not sure what they will do next, but I'm taking it back in.

This just happened to me over the weekend. Not looking forward to a dealership visit, since I am 4+ hours away from closest one. I called and they told me to first forget all devices and then try reboot. I have no doubts that this will not work and I will be scheduling a visit soon.

Same thing happened to mine. kept rebooting. Dealer replaced the PCM under warranty. My only complaint was having to deal with SiriusXM for a half hour trying to transfer service to the new radio.
