So STG when you post a listing on HFS, do you make sure that the code read indicates it's never been driven around with the spoiler selected up, because the car's tainted and not good anymore?
I NEVER post cars where dealers show cars WITH the spoiler up. Haven't you heard all the ridicule over the years about that?? It's well known.
Also curious to know of issues if the spoiler is left permanently in the open position, other than rodents hopping inside.
Of it rains hard, for example, would that cause issues?
Now looks-wise, I find the whole thing quite atrocious when up. Call me a "purist" but not a fan of that look. Hate ducks too.
Ultimately, we are splitting hairs and it's great that we drive awesome cars and embrace diversity, when it comes to personal preferences and options, while getting along and helping each other through the ownership experience.

I'm all for embracing diversity
"Butt hurt ******", sounds less accepting than someone having some fun with a spoiler button
I'd venture to guess that your childish posts and fostering of a negative stigma surrounding our cars is not very entertaining to most of this community. I'm all for ball busting in good fun, but do it within reason.
Any erection lasting longer than 4 hours should be reviewed by a physician. Is that a good reason not to leave it up all the time. It could be a health issue.

What negative stigma?? I own the same damn car!
This "spoiler up" thing has been an issue since the 991.1 came out. I've seen it over and over again. Go back to the 2013 6Speed thread. Was even around before I had a 991.1
I think this is being taken a bit too seriously.
I hear all sorts of ducks are ugly comments, I could care less!

Well said. I don't care for ducks either, I think with the spoiler down it looks a little to much like a VW bug but like the aggressive look of the factory spoiler. Nothing but opinion. There certainly is a gap when it's up, I`d say probably enough to squash an *** clown in there if one was a tough guy. All for entertainment of coarse.

Yup. I'm starting to think I asked if I'd have any problems if I put the wheels and tires from my neighbors Tundra on my Porsche 911 with the hideous spoiler. Some people are just the way they are for whatever reason maybe picked on or not loved enough. Who cares?
C'mon man, you know exactly what I'm talking about, and if you have the same car then why go the extra mile to make people feel ashamed for having their spoiler up?
FWIW I think this whole thread is pretty funny, definitely took a left turn, but entertaining none the less.
