Default Spoiler question

I really like the look of the 991 spoiler and I only have it down when my car is in the garage and will be sitting for a while. My question is could there be any problems occur by leaving the spoiler up all the time?

None that I know of. I leave mine up all the time. Added ventilation plus I like the way it looks.

Right on. I just think the 991 is one of the best looking factory spoiler ever.

Don't think it's a problem leaving it up. I'm seriously contemplating a duck tail on mine.

The always erect spoiler has been a sensitive subject on the boards in the past. To many, one step above adding "upgrade" badges to a car

Not to mention, really ruins the look of the car.

Best to go Duck or Aerokit Cup spoiler if need be.

Not judging those that do it, just noting the consensus

Keywords:

Rennlist spoiler up or down
991 spoiler up or down
Porsche 991 drive with spoiler up
Rennlist 991 spoiler

Thanks for sharing your opinion with the group. The same could be said about duck tails.

So the spoiler in the erect position is one step above say, putting turbo badges all over a base model? 👌 Got it.

I'll let others chime in. I could care less if anyone has a flag mounted to the back of their 991.

Roll on

I'm certainly interested to see how many share your opinion that the factory installed spoiler "ruins" the look of the car. Shame on Porsche I guess.

I have the Aerokit. If I'm going to get an erection I want it to be fully extended. Just saying.

Edit the title of the thread to "Spoiler always up question" and you'll get more responses. Let the masses speak. I've seen the subject discussed many times over the years, and know what the consensus is of leaving it up when parked, or cruising the boulevard with it erect.

Sometimes I purposely drive below 74 MPH so my spoiler won't deploy, and ruin the look of my ***.

I love the lines of the 911 without the rear spoiler deployed. I've always found the speed activated functionality to be a cool feature. If I wanted the rear spoiler deployed all the time, I would probably invest in a fixed spoiler (or buy a turbo ). The fixed spoiler option is nice because you see a painted surface on the underside, as opposed to the black plastic under the standard spoiler.

Don't worry about what other people think; do what you like.
