The reason many of us think keeping the spoiler up all the time is a bad idea was shown by the photos posted by STG in the previous page, when the regular spoiler is up it leaves an unfinished opening, of which we think it destroyed the pure beauty of the car. Some design purists would also object to a fixed duck tail, but most would agree at least that is a well finished and integrated product.

Lol! That's a reason.

I don't drive it a ton but when I do it's a 50 mile commute (one way) and more than 48 miles of it in Interstate so it's almost always up when I drive it and I like the look as well. I do park it in a garage but if outside it absolutely would become a birds nest.

Some of us think the hood creases or Macan taillights on the .2 destroyed the pure beauty of the car, but you know what they say, people with opinions are a-holes.

I can see someone thinking that especially at that angle of the picture. In the defense of us "spoiler guys" you only see it from a certain height from behind only. The look doesn't bother me because it's a beautiful car even if it has a duck tail which I don't like at all but even with a duck tail it's still a beautiful car. It was a legit question that started this thread.

I will chime in and I agree with some others in that it is not a good look. Not a good look on the Panny and not a good look on the 911.

I say that as a guy that loves both duck and aero. I should state that I have neither duck or aero and I do like the look of the spoiler when in motion, but when parked I do not.

My biggest question would be why not just get a duck if you wanted one that stayed up permanently?

People on the .1 might use it as a garbage if left open??

The .2 is the one with the louvers.

It's probably because you were searching for dong pics prior to that. Google is smart!

Yeah, I am not sure I want to know what STG had to type in to pull up one of those previous images!

So STG when you post a listing on HFS, do you make sure that the code read indicates it's never been driven around with the spoiler selected up, because the car's tainted and not good anymore?
