I bought these already Just not clear to me how to really make it work. Just place them through the plate and apply pressure to all four corners? I guess I'm looking for a better packaged solution but yes .... this could work as well.

Same question - the reviews are all about mounting to windshield inside car. Not sure about where you all live, but plate in window = $175 ticket to the meter gestapo in SF.

Yes, still holding strong. I added some instructions about installing with double side tape.

High quality, looks good. There's a thread somewhere on the forum that lead me to it.

Installed the Skene mount today, after all it’s Saturday

Not much to show, but I drilled another hole in each mounting foot (#10 bit) as I did not think one screw gave enough strength. I changed the double sided tape to 3M VHB which I know performs well. Also I painted the mount itself and the backside of the license plate with Rustoleum Satin Black as part of the mount and the backside of the plate is visible. I did not think silver colored parts would look too sporty on the GTS hence the satin black paint. Since I am the impatient type I baked all painted pieces in the oven for 2 hours at 175*. Once they cooled I mounted everything. Time to drive!

Default Ghetto mod

Here’s what I threw together to hold me until I get the nerve up to remove the bumper cover for the magnet mount.

Aluminun angle iron, stainless screws, washers and locknuts, an old plate from a tow hitch mount I had laying around, and some industrial strength Velcro. I probably wouldn’t trust it for continuous use, but for meter maid ticket prevention it should work fine.

You guys have such elegant solutions. I wish Porsche had a better placement for the ACC radar. Having it in the center makes it incredibly difficult to place the license plate. I'm not a fan of off-center placement so it's a dilemma between the safety that PAS/ACC provides vs good looks. Having PAS saved my *** on two occasions (big time!) I am not going to compromise it.
New York is also one of those states where cops just get pleasure out of giving drivers a hard time. In most other states where front plates are required, cops don't really care when they see a beautiful Porsche without it. They understand. Not so in New York.

Not the cheapest solution but a fun one if you get pulled over. (driving with it down, get pulled, hit a switch and flip it up) Its been there the whole time officer....

This won't work on 911's. It will get ripped off if you go over a speed bump

Thx AIBinVA - My dealer could not figure out the Skene medium install. My Skene box had an M (BKT-1M) so I assume it was the correct/medium size. I have a 2017 991.w. He was not sure how one could drill holes up into the bumper lip as the grill slats were in the way,
Will use your pics to show the dealer. If u have more please PM me. Thx !
