After several tickets in Manhattan because I didn't want to put front plates on - I relented.

Doesn't look as bad as I thought, though I wish we could purchase a permit in NYC to allow a no plate. Even if the permit were $500 - it would be worth it. That's like 9 tickets worth.

Default Skene design plate holder installed

So I was at the dealer today, getting my "new to me" 991.2 C2S state inspection done. I had my skene-design bracket and front plate in the car because I have not had a chance to put the car on a lift and do the install myself. Since it was in the shop, I asked the SA if they had installed brackets like this before and he replied yes. So, while waiting for inspection I had them install the bracket. Came out just fine. Feels sturdy and looks good.

I had promised to post my installation details, but since I did not install myself, I can only add pics

I bought a CPO 911 that came w/ the bumper drilled (4 holes :X) but opted to switch to the tow hook plate holder from rennline. It's machined really well.

Plus, since I am in a state that requires a front plate and will definitely pull you over and ticket you for it, I figured that I would have the tow hook plate on all the time anyways. As for holes in the bumper...I will have a plate on the front for as long as I own the car and I am not going to worry about the next owner.

For those with ACC, though - I posted earlier that there is a different OEM mounting bracket - make sure you get the right one!
I agree. Not sure why holes bother anyone..theyre covered. I really don't like tow hook...looks goofy IMO. To each his own.

Where did you get this from?

Finally got a license plate ticket and just want a temp solution.

Looks good.. trying to find a solution for my 991.2.. Does it work with your parking sensors?

If you are asking if the skene-design bracket will work on your .2 with no problems to sensors, the answer is yes. This bracket goes on the center of the bumper just like the drilled bracket. I would also recommend the medium bracket as well.

here are a couple of installed pics

Has anyone tried to mount the plate lower? It would seem to be less intrusive if the plate covered the dummy center air intake.

I have yet to be ticketed for the lack of a front plate, but if I ever am, my temptation would be to fold the top and bottom edges of the plate slightly--without obscuring the key information--and try to slip it into that lower duct.

I'm thinking this route also. I've also thought about the zunsport grills - use some screws and mount the plate to the center grill cover. Interested if anyone has tried either route.
