Not everyone wants or needs SC. When I was shopping for my new 911, I was only looking at cars that did not have Sport Chrono, but that did have the 20" RS Spyder wheels and PDK. I don't begrudge any one that wants SC, but I did not.

I paid around 96k for my 17 when I purchased it new two years ago and the MSRP on my car was $104,640, so I would say that 90k is a pretty good price provided that every thing else checks out. You said "lease transfer" usually those require a transfer fee up front and from what I have heard Porsche Financial is hard to deal with on a lease transfer.

I have done a lease transfer with Porsche Financial. No problem doing the transfer. However the original lessee is not off the contract.

It's also irritating that the Porsche National Pre-Owned has a bug... You can for instance search nationwide for specifically a 2017 991.2 Carrera, and even search specifically for PDK or manual, but as soon as you pick Sport Chrono (or any other option) from the "popular options" list, the result "We were not able to find any matching vehicles within the United States".

So essentially you need to sort through every result to see if it has the SC option...

Look for the dash WART That's the first thing I look at interior shots.

Why would you specifically not want Sport Chrono? To eliminate the clock because you don't like the way it looks? You don't have to select the sport plus mode if you have SC. Do you use the included sport mode at all?

Just curious..

Yup, but you have to click through each listing and then scroll to interior pictures to see... If I find a steering wheel picture first, I check for the extra SC mode wheel on the steering wheel.

With the .2, you can also look at rear exterior pictures for the center-exit exhaust pipes to identify the PSE as well!

Yup. With many listings I find errors with PDK/Manual all the time. Even models. Sometimes can work in ones favor and find a gem.

I'd bet most of us Porsche nerds could look at a typical set of dealer pics and develop a 100% accurate build sheet.

I don't believe that I have used the sport mode not even once in 2-years. I will never track my car, so for around town driving I am more than pleased with the performance of my none Sport Chrono base Carrera. I have owned several cars that had close to 500 HP and to me my base Carrera seems faster even with out SC. Besides why pay for something I will never use.

That definitely is one way to look at it. GT3's are really nice to have but if most were honest, they would admit that they don't use the car for it's intended purpose for the vast majority of their time behind the wheel.

That's the very same car I've been looking at. The PDK is the one thing that throws me off (don't even mind the lack of Bose). If it's still in inventory come October, I think I'll make a move.
