I do not know if Lucas played any part in the manufacturing, as this item is produced around Luton England however did get intouch with BMi sales direct today, unfortunately they are only able to sell to the agent and guess who that is 🤔🤔 yes you guessed Porsche Germany 🙄..... so thats my plans back to square one.
I am more than capable of fitting the item myself and would probably install both of them at the same time if I could get a discount.🙄😉😊

You can buy the PADM mount at FCP Euro, if it fails at any point in the future, replace it for free!

That FCP Euro warranty is excellent. I could not find the mounts, would you have a link??

Sorry if this has already been asked but I couldn't find it. Is PADM only an option if you have Sport Chrono? I'm looking at buying a 981 Cayman soon and I'd rather not have to deal with PADM. Don't really care if the car has Sport Chrono either.

Disregard. Just read post# 35....

The active engine mounts are typically included in the Sport Chrono package.

What’s the downside? So if they break then they’re just like solid standard mounts anyway.

Thanks to plemun for the videos. I've had my GTS for less than a week and I've already broken my GTS as well. I lost a slat on the grill and the PADM warning but OK to drive. I guess it's off to the dealership and hopefully the CPO warranty will cover both items.

I have a 2014 C2S with Sport Chrono, just over 15,000 miles. I’m using the car primarily as a weekend track day car. My left rear dynamic engine mount is bad. Replacement cost is exorbitant as discussed above.
Is there consensus on installing aftermarket solid mounts? I’d be happy to ditch the dynamic mounts in favor of solid mounts that are always stiff and track oriented but I don’t want to deal with warning lights or trigger other stability systems glitches or warnings.

You don't need a solid engine mount. The defective active engine mount is essentially a solid engine mount. There's no way of eliminating the warning on the dash. It's part of the PADM/PASM system.

An alternative to taking it to the dealer is to purchase the engine mount from fcpeuro. They have a lifetime replacement warranty on parts. It's cheaper on other sites, but they don't offer the warranty. Swapping out the part is plug-and-play. You don't have to reset the ECU and PADM system. Below is a link to the part.

So the mounts are engaged in sport mode as well? Explains why I never noticed a difference when pushing through corners between S and S+.

Mmmmmm..... interested in the fitting of a new hydraulic mount ? I did not realise they are just a plug and play affair? I was at my local OPC today to ask of the actual cost, however they told me that the item needed coded into the ECU or to clear the fault etc, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can any suggest the suitable diagnostic tool I would need to diagnose which mount is faulty and do I need this tool for fitting the new mount.

Thank you for the detailed reply. Just to clarify, is it okay to just ignore the PADM warning and keep driving the car? Do all of the systems work properly in normal driving sport and sport plus? Does this fault put the car in any protective mode that hinders performance?
If not I may ignore it and put the dollars towards some 19” forged track wheels and tires.

2016 GTS manual, 6,700 miles. After a very sharp low speed turn the PADM failure message appeared. Message hasn’t cleared after a few restarts so I’m guessing the mount is toast. Have a September appointment for diagnostics and a tire change. If the car handles ok I may just acknowledge the fault at startup and run it as is.
