thats a bummer - I wonder if its perhaps connector related (a bad connection rather than a fault with the components themselves)?

on the 997 PDEM there were 2 (engine mounts) however the 991 PADM system I *believe* has additional (2?) on the transmission also... but I am not 100% on that...

That is an expensive repair on a 991.2 if indeed there are 4 @ $1,300 ea., plus labour. That would be $5,200 plus $500 labour (?), so $6,000 USD or $8,000 CAD. If this type of failure is common in the first 6 years, where are those guys who are writing (in another thread) that a $4,900 (CAD) Porsche extended warranty is a waste of money?

I lied - there are only 2x as in the 997 PDEM system.

Is it common for them to fail?

Not AFIAK - there were some (based on occurrence of RL threads) on the PDEM system for the 997 - I think less (based on similar) for the PADM on the 991 (GT3 - where the system was introduced to the 991 platform)

Hoping that's all it is. Will have my mech look at it in March when it is in for the annual. Maybe it is tired of Germany and wants to get back to the good old USA!

Just had a PADM failure warning pop-up this weekend... '15 PDK GTS. Some spirited driving for about 45 minutes, in SPORT setting (never put Sport Plus on), without any issues. Was literally pulling back into my neighborhood and noticed the following. This is a bit different from the previous posts in that this is not a Yellow warning. And note is says DISABLED and not FAULT. Am I just being a dunce and somehow disabled PADM??? Didn't know I could do that if that is the case!

Pulled in the garage, shut down, restarted thinking maybe it was just a temporary condition -- but still there. Tried same couple hours later, and still there.

Going to hit the manual and other research this morning -- anyone have this particular message appear and know what I should look at? I'll post what I find... Thanks!

Weird that you would get that error when not even using PADM - I thought PADM is only engaged in Sport Plus mode.

Some research on the GT3 forum says that the message should go away after restarting the car a few time. But, it seems you've done that already.
