Anyone measure db levels from GTS?
Rennlisters - my father is coming to CA for the holidays, so of course, I need to show him a good time by taking him to Laguna for a track day.
Here's the dilemma. Laguna has a 90db sound limit for the event and if my GTS goes over I get meatballed and need to pit. 2 of those and I'm done for the day. They are very strict there.
Has anyone measured the db level of the GTS? (3.8L engine. with power kit and PSE)

If you have a problem, turn PSE off and disconnect the valve lines.

good point. the valve lines would need to be disconnected as PSE engages around 4500 RPMs regardless of PSE button being on or off due to the vacuum effect . The mic is located at turn 5 which is an uphill climb so it's a full throttle situation.

I passed when the limit was 93 dbs. I just wasn't sure about 90 dbs. Fingers crossed.

^^^ yes the sound level goes down by 6dbs every time you double the distance. Goes down 20db when measured 10x the distance. Just learned of the inverse square law . Based on this I should be well under. If I still had my AWE switch path I would be SOL. Thanks for the replies everyone.

I've heard of others using a snorkel exhaust system to push the exhaust note to the inside of the track specifically for this reason.
