I really prefer the 19" rims, but the selection from Porsche is limited - um, one for the 991.2. Has anybody else here gone on the quest for 19 inch rims and would you post pics of your rims mounted? Thanks kindly.
I have the standard 19" wheels from Porsche as my summers set-up. I just purchased these Victor Baden wheels as my winter set-up. I mostly like them, although the finish is a little shinier than I'd like.

The smaller diameter makes more sense with the crappy roads we have here.
I was thinking of making the switch, but the 19 tires are just as much as the 20's

Exactly. Roads in the NE need more rubber. I think Randy Pobst showed that 19's are just fine on the track, too, but the 20's look better.

Not sure I agree with that. The winter Pirelli 19s are around 1200 and same 20s are around $1600. Summer Michelins are 1230 vs. 1380. The 19 inch wheels are also substantially less than 20s from Porsche and aftermarket. I agree that 20s are more attractive than 19s, but they're significantly more expensive than 19s. There's also been an issue with availability of 20s for some tire types. (been documented on Rennlist in the past, I don't remember the thread.)
I have the "19 winter wheel package from porsche that looks like this on my 991.1...for me, they are a better ride than the "20 'ers.
Yep, thanks for that. I have these as my standard wheels, so I was looking for some other ideas. I like the Victors above, and took at look their line of rims.
On my 991.2 I have 20s and have been told if you have rear wheel steering you have to get 20s. You can search other threads on here. Otherwise totally agree with more rubber being beneficial on crappy roads and particularly in the winter.

To be honest, the roads where I live are well maintained, but I have a house up in North Central PA and the trip can bring some poorly covered pot holes of uneven bridge abutments due to freeze/thaw. I had big rims on my BMW and it was a jarring ride at times. When it would hit some unavoidable patch, the thump would send a shiver up my spine. I hate that.

I was looking at the $100 per tire change, vs the $2000 it would cost for new wheels. (The cars is put to bed when the snows comes down)
The ROI wasn't there for me.
The only way it wold work would be to score some cheap 19's
