I am working on a deal for more than 7% off an ordered base C2 with a dealer I have never done business with. Don't ask since the deal isn't done yet.

Sales on the 991.2 are like 1/2 what they were this month last year. Even taking into account whatever variables you want (economy, election year, not naturally aspirated, etc), the .2 is not selling very well. I considered looking at a newer 991.1 but after trying the new infotainment PCM in the 991.2 I knew that wasn't going to happen.

I test drove a .2 S yesterday and tried to negotiate 5% yesterday softly. My local dealer said nope but instead gave me the old "we'll make you a good deal" and this is my servicing dealer and the dealer I bought my .1 from. I think I'm going to have to look elsewhere...they seem to love their cars a bit too much even for someone who wants to be a loyal customer.

I do pretty much the opposite by going in with a Porsche code generated at another dealer. They get the message.

Yup - dealers are struggling to get inventory and allocation.

I salesman ay my local dealer says they pretty much lose negotiating power when they see customers shopping out of town as there is much incentive from Porsche. Besides - in todays market, buying a car remotely; price really is the sole differentiator with identical product.

allocations were hard to get, my florida dealer could only get me a euro delivery allocation because they get an extra US allocation to make up for it then.

my one ohio dealer couldnt get an allocation, went with another and got a little more than 6% and happy right now.

excited for the car, and excited to get the turbo6 up to 450-500hp and have a fun fast reliable manual "turbo"

On a 991.2 build totaling $110k, I was offered $5k discount from two dealers in central Illinois. I tried for 5%, but was turned down. As this car will be for Euro Delivery, I didn't want to press more for the discount as I knew this deal was going to be a PITA for the selling dealer with more work needed before the car finally arrives back in the USA on their doorstep.

I believe it's a extra check box.

This will be my 5th Euro Delivery, 4th with Porsche. Trust me, getting the car you want delivered in the time window you want, is a much bigger chore than checking a box. I changed my order from one dealer to another because after 5 weeks, the first dealer hadn't made any progress for a delivery next June.

If you have no demands on the delivery date, it gets simpler. If you do it with BMW or Mercedes, it gets a lot easier. With Porsche AG, they'd rather not do it at all.

Yep easy peasy with BMW and so much more included. I may have to continue with 1 Porsche and 1 BMW just because of it.

Would love to hear more if you have more than the usual (Apple etc).

Any of the other electronics (driving assistant etc) you found wanting?
