I'm going to stop doing hot fills. So far no pcm faults. It's nice to keep the ac on though.

Aren't you taking a risk with igniting the gas vapors and causing a fire? I've read that this is a relatively small risk and can occur due to a spark from an ignition coil, a faulty alternator, loose battery terminals, poorly installed lights/sound systems, etc.

I'd say that running the AC isn't worth the risk.

Wow - didn't think anyone would ever fill their tank with the engine running.

Been doing that for years. On cheap beaters to bespoke q ships. Winter - heater on. Summer - AC on. Living on the edge

I always thought it was against the law to gas up with engine running

I think that's accurate. I suspect it'd be very unlikely to blow up though. After all in Oregon you can't even pump your own gas and they save so many millions of lives from all the gasoline pumping accidents that happen in other states.

Funny story. I pulled into a gas station in Bend, Oregon and the guy had no issues with figuring out how to put gas in the car and basically could care less that is was a nice 911. Then I noticed that across the street was a Porsche dealership, so this guy probably gasses up 911s all the time!

Everyone knows when the engine is running is creates sparks (coils/alternator) and static electricity (belts rubbing/fuel line). You know the look of people when you fuel up with the car running? They're not checking out your car, that's the look of "look at this moron."

I can care less about insignificant lives of those who don't care about their own safety. But if they take out the only pump in the city with 93 E-0, I would be f*cking pissed.

But I'm sure ArthurVandalay is just trolling.

Maybe OK if you're standing there with a fire extinguisher like they do when starting a big radial aircraft engine.

Another discovery, dogs dont seem to like the 911, especially in sport mode when the exhaust backfires.

I realized when fueling up, it require less steps to walk around front of the car instead of around the back to get to the fuel door. Old habits are hard to break, lol.
