Thanks guys. I'm new to all things Porsche, including my own car.

But have been driving it in sports + and manual mode. It just feels/sounds better. No 7th is a non issue.

Uh . . . it will not go back into gear when the light turns green to go unless you have your foot on the brake. All those folks behind me formerly impressed by my Porsche Sport Exhaust started honking their horns at me to get moving as I tried to get it to go back into gear.
How does this feature work? I tried it whichever way possible to no avail (riding the brakes while approaching a red light, gas pedal, off both pedals). "pulling" the integrated pedals of the multi-function steering wheel simply downshifts. I made sure I pulled both at the same time, to invoke this functionality.

No need to pull at the same time, just double pull one of them quick or flick left and then flick left or vice versa quick.

I love the PDK "double paddle flick" that puts the tranny into neutral.
Can someone help me with the double paddle flick? I have a C2S with the multi functin steering wheel. Pulling(or pushing) both paddles at the same time just upshifts or downshifts. Am I missing something?

Thx!

http://www.porscheownersmanuals.com/...6/156/Kickdown

The manual on pages 156 and 157 describes separate functions for the steering wheel with buttons versus paddles.

It does not mention this paddle neutral feature for the steering wheel without paddles.

Every review I have read says that the front axle lift system lowers the car at 35 kmph. However the nose on my India spec. car remains up till 70kmph!

On 991.1 Paddle neutral only works with the Sport Design steering wheel with paddles the not MF wheel.

Thanks!! Just read it and that explains why I haven't been able to engage the neutral option.

On the GT3 pulling both paddles acts like pushing the clutch pedal in a manual transmission, when you release them the car goes back to the same gear.

The PDK "coast" feature only engages if you have auto-stop turned on.

I was fueling recently and another 991 pulled up to the pumps. He told that recently he fueled with the engine running and subsequently he got a PCM fault that allowed him to drive on. He had to go to the dealer to have it cleared.
Apparently these cars cannot be fueled with the engine running.

I may have noted this before, but on non-sport chrono equipped PDK cars you can do a "soft" launch control start. Same method as the full launch but in Sport mode - left foot on brake, stomp right foot on gas pedal and it will disconnect the gear and rev to around 4,500 rpm and bounce the rev limiter at that point. Foot off brake, gear engages and - smile!
