Default Will Porsche Exclusive Work to allow Performance options to be added?

I want SPASM on a 991.2 C4. Purely for the look. I don't want or need the S. ...and I am not paying another $14k for a little more boost on the same displacement engine just so I can have the option to get SPASM.

I know SPASM is not available on the configurator for the Base 911s. That's probably a marketing ploy to entice buyers to step up to the S which has a much higher profit margin.

However, do you think Porsche Exclusive or some other part of PCNA can special order this for a customer.

I can't imagine that there is a technical reason why SPASM can't be checked off in the Factory work order and added to a Base car.

Do you guys think this is possible? Has anybody ever done this?

I also don't want to go after market or get my dealer to add it on later. I want it on the Monroney (I am funny that way)

The closest I have been to working outside of the process is to get my order unlocked (after it locked for a European Delivery) to add SC. My dealer could not do it but PCNA did it for me.

Doubtful Porsche would do it. It's like RWS. These are options to entice you to upgrade to an S. I would add that this is more so now that you an tune the base car to big HP because of the turbos. It would kill the S and one big profit opportunity for Porsche.

If you're looking for a lowered ride height without compromising performance, try KW or Bilstein Coilover?

I'm sure they'll do it for $14k more.

I too am OCD but there is no way I would spend the $$$ or jump through the hoops necessary to get Porsche to add SPASM to a base car just because I like the look of the car 10mm lower.

If I was only after the look (again we are talking a mere 10mm or 1/2" lower I would go aftermarket with KW parts. Doesn't make sense to try to stay factory no matter how much $$$ you have.

But the SPASM is more than just lower springs. It includes a more aggressive front lip and a steeper angle to the rear spoiler as well as different dampening in the shocks and stiffer sway bars.

Good luck.

I begged and pleaded to add performance options, a duck tail and a different exhaust on my incoming GTS Targa... to no avail. Porsche Exclusive wouldn't budge an inch.

Why couldn't they add duck to a 16 GTS? They were happy to install a piece of inert plastic on mine in lieu of a motorized electromechanical speed-sensing spoiler for only $2000 more. Yeah baby

EDIT: Maybe it's a Targa thing?
