991.1 overall build quality questions...
Hello all, in the market for a 991.1 C4S soon, and was looking for some owner input on overall build quality and such. I have been reading JD Power surveys over the past five or so years for dependability and quality and Porsche is always towards the top, which is nice to see for a "sports car" company IMO.
Now, I am not talking about a little rattle here and there, or a really random issue a select few may have. I mean overall how do you owners who have driven the cars feel the build quality is? Do the cars still feel well put together/vault like? How is the paint quality? Panel gaps? etc, etc...
Is there a certain year to avoid or look for in particular in regards to a 991.1 C4S?
Thanks!

I'd say the most solid and reliable 911 ever made. The 991.1 has been a star right out of the gate in 2012.5
No gremlins and issues that haunt many of these other car brands.

lol, full of problems huh, I like to read about it, give me a link or two or three? I've driven both and I am sold on the 991.2. It's so much better in every way.

Regardless, I want a .1 anyway...

A couple of issues I had with my 991.1s:
My 2014 C2S had engine replaced at 8k miles. Porsche customer service was phenomenal and they cut me a check to keep the car. That car also suffered endless issues with the sunroof. These issues were documented here on various posts.
My 2015 GTS cab was perfect when I traded it in last week. Only minor issue was how the red leather seats were showing age at 9k miles. I had two tone interior red/black. No service issues.
