991.1 overall build quality questions...

Burning Brakes
My 991.1 has been solid at 15K miles now. My only issue has been the dreaded hesitation/stumble issue that you may have read about around here. Still no solution for that. But everything else is squeak-, rattle-, and issue-free. Well, I take that back - my windshield washer hose broke and needed to be replaced. That's it. So, if you overlook the 2.5K RPM hesitation problem, it's a perfect car! :-) Transmission and clutch are the best I've ever driven - love the 7-speed manual.

Is your car a 2 or 4? Is it an S or no?
It worries me a little as that would definitely bother me. Is this something easily noticed during a test drive? Do cars develop this over time, or do you have it or not have it and that's that?
I wonder if an aftermarket tuner could fix the issue as they have access via OBD2 to nearly any parameter?

No mechanical issues so far. My car does suffer from various creaks and rattles that seemingly come and go. The 991.1 is miles better than my prior 981.1 Caymans S was in this department though.

2015 GTS with 2k miles on it here. Only 2 minor glitches/issues so far. Everyone with a 991 I talked with so far, said these are super reliable.
(1) One of the engine cover slats came loose during a car wash. The glue gave out, so Gorilla 2-1 Epoxy fixed it. No biggie.
(2) My Navi screen went black on a drive one day. I stopped, turned the car off, and turn the car back on and everything went back to normal. Never happened since.

These are stupid nits, but bluetooth sometimes doesn't connect to my phone and when locking the car using the black button on the door handle, i usually have to press it twice.

If money is no issue, I recommend you get the newest, lowest mileage (new if you can, which means .2), and most closely optioned car to your liking (build one if you can, in fact do a factory delivery), that you want. Again, if money is no issue! If it is, a pre-owned 991.1 is an awesome car. I love mine. I have had 6 previous 911s and the current C4s is by far the best and most trouble free of all of them. I have 20,400 miles. Hope this helps.

You have to intentionally hold the button a bit longer than you think! The Bluetooth issue is probably more the phone or the phone's location when you turn the key.
