991.1 overall build quality questions...

I bought a 2014 991S new and it has NEVER been to the dealer for so much as a hiccup, squeak or rattle. It's been flawless. I drive this everywhere and it sees a LOT of track time as well. Best car I own!

I have a 16 991.1 GTS. 4K miles and no issues except a faulty drivers window switch. It's a little sticky, not enough to warrant taking it in yet. Bombproof car for me thus far, but it is essentially brand new. I guess the only other issue is it roars like satan's hounds and scares bystanders every time I drive through a tunnel. I guess the .2 folks will never have to worry about that though. =)

I have a 2013 and also have a sticky driver's side window. Since I have only 6 months of warranty left, I will focus strongly on getting it corrected in the near future. Otherwise, no problems in 3 1/2 years and 23k miles.

I have a '16 GTS Fit and finish are very good. Engine and tranny (7 speed)-love them both. I am having several weeks of issues with electronic faults involving the wiring and possibly one of the 30 computers that run these cars. My 05 997 S was more trouble free.

Race Car
2012.5 early build car with 30 k in 4 years and mine is solid as a rock. A few trim related squeaks and rattles were fixed in the first few months by tweaking fittings. All the "change over valves" were replaced in one of many "campaigns" to correct possible issues due to a bad batch in manufacturing- that seems to be a typical problem for earlier cars- and have worked properly ever since. This is the 4th 911 I have had since 1975 and the best operating and performing. Unlike the mythically perfect air cooled cars, no aftermarket mods are needed to fix engineering deficiencies.
Re the 991.2: The typical complaint is that it is too smooth, too supple, too silky handling and too quiet for something so fast. Get SPASM and PSE - you wont notice these defficiencies.
