Article on Porsche changing their loaner car policy. Interesting read, it mainly talks about the Cayenne diesel issues but I think it pertains to all Pcars.

If this link doesn't work as I'm having issues with it. Put "Porsche revamp service loaner program" into google and search. Auto news comes up towards the top of the page and it will let you in that way.

They usually give me a Cayenne, but also got a really dirty Nissan one time I was not happy about. At a Porsche dealership out west when I brought in the Cayman I got an Audi A4 that I thought was pretty good. I liked how intuitive the infotainment system was to use.

I wish they'd give you a loaner that's similar to the car you're bringing in to try to sell you on their newer cars. Seems like a huge wasted marketing opportunity. When I bring in a manual 991.1 it would be great to get a manual 991.2 or Cayman/Boxster rather than a huge SUV that's completely different from what I would ever buy. When I brought in the 07 Cayman I wish I could have driven the new Cayman as a loaner.

Dropped off my 991.2 this morning and got a Cayenne loaner. It's awesome, it adds fuel as you drive! Oh wait, the fuel gauge is backwards. Full is to the left. Wonder why?

I hope I get a Cayenne loaner on Monday when I take in the Macan. It's much more convenient turning back in a loaner without adding fuel! I love technology!

Also got a 2016 Cayenne Diesel in white. I guess I was silly to put $5 of gas in it for driving about 90 miles. Funny thing at the gas station was the guy in front of me in a White 911 came out to say hello...as he also bought a diesel Cayenne.

Dropped my 911 off for a new battery this Saturday and got to drive this!.
Just kidding. It's my own car & the Ferrari dealership is a short walk from Porsche dealership here in DFW. Last time, though, I got a new Passat. I'm sure it's a nice car, but it's not a Porsche. The steering on my wife's Honda Ridgeline is tighter. Meh. Good thing about yucky loaners, it made me appreciate my Porsche even more. First loaner I got was a Panamera 4S. Liked it. I'd consider one if I took more & longer road trips. Reasonably sporty, lots of room, comfy...T

I'm surprised I'm not seeing more Cayenne Diesels in this thread. They can't sell them and dealers around me are using them as loaners.

I've only had Cayenne's for loaners. The last one was a diesel--loved the torque. My wife, who has mostly had M-Bs for years but now drives a Q5 tdi, isn't impressed with the Cayenne. I know they have Panamera's I'd like to try one as she is moderately interested in them.

Took my 991.1 in for service, they provided a 2016 Cayenne base model with ~7K miles (black w/ beige interior). Had huge decals on the rear windshield "COMPLIMENTS OF PORSCHE" which I could have gone without.

After test driving the Macan GTS before, the base Cayenne just does not do anything for me. Comfy ride nonetheless.

No joke, I sat in the driver's seat utterly confused for 10 seconds until I realized what was going on.

Took my 2015 C2S in for 10,000 mile service in early September 2015. Fresno dealer gave me a Cayenne V-6 diesel for the day. Drove up the hill to see the water level in Lake Millerton with a boat owner friend and we were both impressed with how quickly the Cayenne diesel accelerated.
A few weeks later the newspapers explained why it had so much pep as the emissions scandal unfolded!
