I had a Panamera e-hybrid a few months back. $115k window sticker. I had it for a long weekend and put some good miles on it. The electric motors gave it a lot of torque, but it was also a lot of fun in the city to just cruise around on the electric motors.

I took it to a wedding and someone's comment was "holy $h!t, $115k loaner- what do you drive!" Which is funny because my Carrera costs quite a bit less....

My dealer usually gives me a POS Enterprise rental. Last time it was a Ford Focus. Before that it was a Challenger. Have only gotten an actual Porsche loaner once - a Panamera hybrid.

Got a 2016 Cayenne base as a loaner last week. It was brand new with 40 miles on it. Really nice vehicle but was underwhelmed by the power a bit. Handled fairly well for an SUV.

Had a Panny 4 - a dog. Had a Panny 4s hybrid (loaded) and it was a great luxury sport sedan. Also had a base Cayman 6MT and it was a blast! All white cars . . . No Cayennes, Boxsters, or 911s.

beaverlake - we have the same dealer. How did you manage to get actual loaners?

Bellevue? Can't rightly say - I had Enterprise at first (free) then Porsche. I've had two PSE installs, warranty work, and some other purchases. I learned a long time ago to sell my suppliers. Or maybe it was this:

I had a new Cayenne GTS as a loaner over a weekend. Over $100k. My 981 was only $82k.

I hated it. Big, gas guzzler. I was happy to get my 981 back.

Yep. Awful car. Got one as a loaner as well. Felt like driving a tugboat.

His Royal Highness sends the 911 in twice a year for seasonal wheel/tire change and or servicing. The Vancouver Porsche center is way out in the boonies, but they have a pick up and delivery service. They have always come in Cayenne of some sort and leave it as a driver until they return the 911. This is basically the only free thing this dealer does. However, it’s pretty good as they say it is no big deal if I load it up with dogs and will forgive a tiny bump or scrape as these cars take a beating and need to be freshened up before resale anyways.

Did you buy from them? They're well known to only give loaners from original buyers from them.

For the other discussion, the Macan is a much better driver's car than the Cayenne, but you give up space and off road capability.

When I went to inquire about a loaner they said they would give a Porsche loaner if they had any in, but enterprise if they didn't. They also said they tried to prioritize "long" service over 1 day jobs for their loaners.

received a 2016 base cayenne the last two visits. beautiful interior & nimble handling but it's lacking in power compared to my wife's x5.

I've had a Cayenne S, which I liked very much, a few base Cayennes, a Panny 4, a Cayenne S e-hybrid (like a science project) and a Boxster S, which I loved. So the little blue Boxster S led to the E550 Cab, which was just a bit better choice for me right now. My wife was really pissed at the SA who lent me the Boxster.

Got a GT3 loaner....

Just kidding.

Doesn't anyone ever get a 911 loaner?
