I got the base base Cayenne with base seats with zero lumbar support one time and got massive back pain. It was awful. I'd rather have crawled home.

Last time I was in Barrier^WAutoNation's showroom, they had a nice 981 Spyder on the floor with a $100K price tag and a "Service Loaner" placard.

Not available for oil changes, apparently.

Couple years ago I brought in the base 981 and was loaned a brand new Range Rover! Talk about extremes. A year ago I brought in the 981S and got a Macan S. Wonder what (SUV??) they'll give me when I bring in the '16 Spyder?

Get your service advisor a starbucks card or bottle of liquor. Banter with the guys at the loan car desk. Don't be afraid to politely ask for a P loaner. Most people will look past your age once they see you're friendly and down to earth...

You will be informed that their contract with Enterprise was terminated and the loaners are now supplied by U-haul.

I just did. C2S PDK, and I won't post what I think about the PDK, to avoid derailing the thread. Can't wait to have my car back!!

I always get new Cayennes for loaners. I always take my car in on Friday's because by the time my car is done, I won't have time to make it to the dealer after work to pick up my car. Therefore, I have the loaner all weekend for beach activities, errands, etc

My credit with the local Porsche service is yet to be built: first oil change -- got an A3. Yuck. I still remember test driving one when they first came here: felt like a lovely playful little thing. Got bigger, softer, lost the all-important hatch, makes ugly noises when pressed into engine braking. Shame on Audi! My daughter's Tiguan is a better car.

Yep, a C4S Cab. My wife was the first customer to drive it and we've had it a couple of times since. We've also had a hybrid Cayenne, base Cayenne, Boxster and a Panny 4.

Our dealer has given us these since day 1, with no "earning" the right or any of that crap. We just make an appointment and they have one ready; great dealership, actually.

This was the first day this was in loaner service and the wife was almost ready to trade her Cayenne for the thing. But practicality took over and now she just wants to add one when the time (and finances) are right!

Used to get loaners through Enterprise, the service manager explained that handing out Porsche loaners was cost prohibitive.

But, last oil change I got a fully loaded Cayenne. Loved it!

Definitely will be my next purchase (unfortunately I had already just purchased a GL 550, that won't be replaced for while), so I guess they smartened up and realized that if a few of their 911 customers could be persuaded they might actually end up making some money.
