Saying someone got 4-6% off on a lease deal, IMO, says nothing because the dealer can wring his profit out of the customer from another direction in the deal.

You cannot generalize the discount, cash deal or otherwise. For the simple reason, discounts, especially now, are a regional thing and depend on the market conditions the dealer is faced with. Good conditions- cars sell, expect no (or little) discount. That's why you need to cast a wide net, nation wide if necessary. Find the dealer with a problem market and you'll find a good discount- say 8%. E-mail as many dealers as you care to with your offer. If you're persistent, chances are you'll find your deal; but, be ready to take it when it shows up. If you can't stand rejection, you may not want to go this route.

On average 6k more than the 991.1 generation. Taking into account for inflation and the addition of turbos it seems about right.
