We just ordered a Guards Red base Carrera/black leather. We probably would have anyway but matching seat belts and deviated stitching comes in Guard but not Carmine. We replaced all of the aluminum around the dash and console with dark mahogany also.

Sick color but I don't have the ***** to pull the trigger on this one. Considering Carmine which is equally if not more beautiful.

And hard not to love. Really sporty and black wheels fits well with guards red, even the wheels have the silver strip around the rim when wheels are painted black at the factory. Great looking car.

My wife hates the perceived attention it gets, but I frankly don't care. I love the color!

Golfnut - you have a fine selection of automobiles - Are some wrapped or original color? I was looking at your footer, trying to work it out, e.g White/GR...etc

...Nice view too. Congrats :-)

I think the secret to GR is getting it dialed in from a polish/wax standpoint. Timeless, classic color.

I've had a lot of GR cars ...I'd opt for Carmine these days, but hey that's me. Less 80s IMO and a little more sophisticated.

Depends on the model... Guards looks good on a Cayman/Boxster... for a Carrera/Targa/Turbo, I'd go for the Carmine too.

Guess I'm going to have to sell my 4S based on this analysis.

GR encompasses a number of features car lovers want in a color. Class, Power, Excitement, Vividness and Boldness. It does not have cheapness, it doesn't get dated. It doesn't get dull. It always stands out.
While I ordered a Sapphire Blue (for all the reasons stated above) - I can tell you we have a Firenze Red Range Rover, Long Wheel Base Supercharged 2016 in our family.

That's a lot of red....and every inch of it is fantastic.

Before there's any confusion - the Yellow Honda is not my car. I went to visit a friend in PA and it belongs to him.

Some classic 80's Guards Red Turbo's. I snapped these at a Porsche event this summer.
