Met the kid driving this last night along the Catalina Hwy (Tucson). He said it was his Grandfather's, that his dad wasn't into the car and let him drive it whenever he wanted. It's a matching number 1962 356 B. The paint is fresh, the engine tired - which the kid took in stride and nursed it back down the mountain. See, there is hope.
Started this thread (Let’s see your recent drive pictures) when I traded my 2014 c2S for the 2015 GTS.
i ended up selling the GTS (manual) and ended up in a 2018 BMW M2 with DCT.
The M2 was later traded in on a new 2021 Macan GTS for my wife, and indeed the Macan GTS is an excellent all rounder.
i missed having a sports car and was intrigued by the updated 718 Cayman GT4. Fortunately I was able to secure an allocation through my SA and ordered a 2022 GT4 with PDK.
The PDK (for me) transforms the GT4 and eliminates the long gearing found in the manual. The smaller size of the Cayman, along the the naturally aspirated 4.0L engine, made the GT4 feel much more like the 991’s I owned in the past.
So although I’m not still Easter Sunday in the GT4
in a 991, I hope you (all) don’t mind me posting a picture of my recent drive.

Gentian Blue is such a beautiful colour and really suits the Cayman, in particular the GT4.
Congratulations and enjoy
