Thank you, John. Considering it has the full Fabspeed cat (which I assume meets all the current emission standards ?) then your 'complete exhaust solution' looks and sounds superior (well, to this man's eyes and ears) than Porsche's OEM PSE.

But, of course, even our friends at Zuffenhausen have to design & execute to finite budgets - especially for non-GT cars. Whilst Fabspeed's system is (much) more expensive it confirms the age-old adage of " you get what you pay for"..... :-)

Yes it does meet emissions standard in the majority of states/countries. The only issue areas would be some TUV countries in Europe and CARB certification in California (silly expensive certification and product changes that would likely render our products useless). That being said CARB in CA isn't required for 5 years on new cars, so you can don't have to worry about that for some time.

Thank you very much for your kind words, we put a lot of time and effort in our R&D and are also quite pleased with the results on the 991.2. If/when the time comes to take your personal car up a notch please reach out to me directly, it would be a pleasure to work with you

It would have been nice to hear the comparison with PSE using the Sport Plus mode going down the highway.

Thank you for the recommendation! I have a fellow with a Miami Blue S-PSE dropping off for our Sport Headers/ Sport Cats on 11/15, and he was nice enough to take some pictures/videos of his car. I will keep that request in mind and see what I can do for a comparison video at cruising speed for you

Please don't make me regret adding PSE on my car. Yours sounds really great. Also, there is another thread just posted of the PSE on 991.2 rusting.

Lol, I think PSE is the best factory system to have as it essentially provides 4 different exhaust notes to choose between that are greatly accentuated with our exhaust upgrades. We didn't touch touch the factory PSE center muffler for a reason, it is actually pretty good haha. Valves open versus valves closed, and Sport Mode versus Sport Plus Mode on top of that make a significant difference in sound due to the wastegates being either or open or closed.

Shoot me over a link to the rusting exhaust, can't seem to find it. Surface rust is typical on any metal (even titanium) and the extent of it greatly depends on the environment of course haha. Either way my curiosity is peaked

Only way to keep an exhaust the same color as new is to ceramic coat it whatever you want it to be haha.

Diablo Dude just posted a YouTube video of your 991.2 PSE upgrade on a red 911 in a different post. I have no idea what it costs, but will start saving nickels and dimes!

Sure thing. I will certainly refer to Fabspeed as first point of call when considering a Porsche OEM exhaust replacement, particularly as I am not a fan of the 991.2 PSE at all - on both acoustic and aesthetic fronts.

Yes, I saw your other post that you didn't like the exhaust ports for the PSE. You are not alone in that regard. However, I really like how it looks and the homage to some great cars like below.

One thing to consider when shopping... Most aftermarket companies only have sounds clips and videos of their exhausts with full headers and in some cases, intakes. I went with IPE and while very cool, it's not as amazing as the videos they post since I kept the factory headers and cats given the risk of complications on a car like this; under warranty, with removing OEM. A system with turbos will be more sophisticated when looking at headers. Downpipes will be cool but also introduce more lag.

Well, now you're talking. If only the Zuffenhausen boffins had produced something like this, I'd have been first in the queue... .

Parking the acoustic stuff for a moment, my problem with the Gen 2 PSE is with its location and shape. I'm not a fan of centrally-exiting exhausts at the best of times but recognise they can work in the right circumstances: eg. McLaren 675 LT, Ferrari 488 GTB, Porsche GT-3/RS...

But on the 'non-GT' cars in the Gen 2 range (....yes, we still await a Gen 2 GT model....which will be interesting...) they've changed the aesthetics of the PSE considerably, IMO.

The central dual pipes on a GT3 991.1, for example as reference, are approx 50 mm apart: on the Gen 2 they're getting on for 200 mm apart on the non-GT range.

Plus, on the Gen 1, the pipes are round (be they on the GT range or on the PSE quad-pipe set-up). However, on the Gen 2 they're slightly ovoid. This change is challenging me a tad...and I'm not yet convinced by it.

At least by going with the standard C2 exhaust (but splashing out on the Porsche OEM quad-tips) you've got a valance that's ready to take, say, an aftermarket quad-tip sports exhaust from Fabspeed and you save a chunk of change - as well as retaining the 'look' of the quad-pipe PSE set-up from the Gen 1...

Plus, you can live with the standard OEM exhaust for a while to see if it's such a killer that everyone suggests. I'm not sure it is: see below.

Note that a Brit publication (Total 911) have a video of a lap around Laguna Seca in a manual C2 with standard exhaust and US vet Hurley Haywood at the wheel ....Sounds fine to me !
