Default Rusty Exhaust (pic inside)

I noticed that many 991's have seemingly rusty exhaust. I have seen show room cars that have this too.

Any idea why?

Cost $$ cutting. They cheapened up the tips on the .2's versus the .1 stainless PSE tips.

Change more MSRP, and cut some corners.

Further proof the .1 is better.

Well that looks like crap.

It's bad when a stainless steel exhaust falls apart at the welds.

Could be a good weekend project to remove and paint with some high temp silver paint.

Whoa - this is quite messed up. These cars just came out and already rust? Today's car should not have rust.

I wonder if this could lead into a recall or something

It's called stain"less" not stain free. Some discoloration can be expected. Any location that is welded may crack unless using low carbon steel or alloy with tantalum. Someone said it, they are using a cheaper grade to save cost. Or the supplier is not meeting spec

If you look closely at 991.2, i think every car more or less has it.

i started to notice first on various youtube videoes, even the cars in the show rooms have these "stain" or whatever.
