Picked up a Macan S Sapphire Blue for my wife today. She is moving from a Cayenne and could not be happier. Have to say, nice car.

Wow. Very sharp. I've been looking at them too as a daily driver. Still in the fence whether I need something bigger though like a Cayenne.

For me I need that extra room sometimes.

Let us know your impressions after having it a while! I'm sure the wife is happy! I won't ask who paid for it (referencing the other thread)

I picked up a Macan T for weekends with wife, kids and dog, and crappy weather days. I like it, its more fun to drive than the 2013 Cayenne I gave up last summer, mostly became the driving dynamics are better. The turbo is smooth and day-to-day I don't miss the larger size of the Cayenne. It is dream on longer drives. I put 2500 freeway miles on it in the first five days of having it. It was so smooth thatch never got tired of driving .

My wife is in love wth it so far. She had 2 Cayennes prior and. Short love affair with a Range Rover Sport. This is her favorite so far. Driving and handling dynamics are much sharper than the Cayenne. Fit and finish is beautiful.

I have a 2012 Touareg right now which is an amazing SUV and a great value. I originally shopped for the Cayenne but the Touareg was, for me, a better value. That said, it's a large vehicle and my wife would probably like something smaller.

I love the look of the Macan but am concerned that the low rear roofline constricts possible cargo fitments. (I've never measured it) My question to current Macan owners: Have you been able to actually haul "stuff"? And major surprises or disappointments? Any comparisons from previous SUV's you've owned? Thanks!

BTW, that Saphire Blue looks amazing!

Best colour for a Macan imo. No idea why.

I specced a similar car last year to replace my accursed X5! - then the (991) GTS was announced, and I got that and a VW Golf Sportwagen for the dogs instead!

I'm trying to convince my wife to replace her BMW 750 with a Cayenne or Macan GTS ...

We love out Macan T. Perfect size IMO unless you haul 2+ kids and their stuff in which case you would find it small

Handles well, looks gorgeous, super comfy on the sport end, some of the best seats I've ever graced with my butt. I will say for 90% of the type of driving we do we don't need the turbo - the S or GTS would be more than enough oomph.

You have to drive it hard to get the extra power out of it, and the wife usually punches me and threatens reverse peristalsis.

I really only opened it to put the comment in. Why didn't put it in the Macan forum - I would think more people there were be interested than here. Likewise, I would not expect to see pics of a 991 in the Macan forum.

I personally like to see what other 991 owners are buying.
