It's the small mods that are cool! I like the look with the two black strips!

Congrats! it looks great!! I have one striped plate to put on....How hard is it to do this? Did you remove it from the bottom or from the front? The whole base has a base that moves to allow the shifter movements. Do you mind sharing the process?
Thanks!

Pretty simple, here's the process. Remove the PDK **** and shifter trim. (google instructions).

The piece with the stripes is installed a sliding channel, it can move up down left and right. It won't just slide out though. The direction it will slide out is FORWARD (towards front of car if it were installed if that makes sense.). It is held in from sliding out in the forward direction by two little black plastic tabs - one on the shift trim, one on the sliding piece. Together, these tabs contact each other and act as a "stop" so the piece won't slide too far. So you just have to figure out how to get the tabs to pass one another, and the piece simply slides out. (in the forward direction). I found that by using fingers only - no screwdrivers - I was able to slightly bend the pieces apart as the tabs are fairly small, and slide the piece up (in the forward direction) and out.

Then slide in the new piece (with stripes), and do the same (pry apart with fingers) to get the 2 tabs to pass one another. A few pics showing the black tabs, zoom in.

I promise it will be obvious once you get it out and see what holds it in place.

On the right is the underside of the shifter surround trim

This tab prevents it from sliding out

This little tab that hangs down contacts the other tab that sticks up on the sliding piece.

Nice! I hate that the base and S models pull back to downshift and push forward for upshift; that's just plain wrong. How difficult is it to swap it around so that pulling upshifts and pushing downshifts like the GT3? Is it just programming or are physical hardware changes required. I mostly use paddles anyway but it sure would be nice to have a shifter that works correctly.

Software needs to be coded (look up Cobb PDK tune). No hardware changes. Then technically it's best to replace the trim pieces (console trim and shifter ****) so that the in-car indications are consistent with the new reversed (and proper) pattern.

Was looking for a drop but not too much. I live in FL where the roads are not great and the city I live in has a ton of brick roads none of which are flat. In addition I have a steep driveway so I was looking for GTS stance not lower. I ended up with the Eibach springs and a DSC Controller. First impressions are that it rides better than it did stock in soft. So far, super happy. Here's some before and after pics.

Thanks! I grew up doing engine swaps in a sand driveway, always dreaming of a garage, and when we bought our first house renovating the garage was the first project I tackled. It’s still a work in progress, I have several boxes of new lighting to install the next weekend I have free. I’ll drop some pictures in the garage thread when I get done with the work.
