I love the door decal. First thing i did was to add them to my car when I pick it up. Why not continue the stripes all the way to the rear wheel? I don't think I have see it stop at the door before. Either way it looks good.

oh that would be amazing since I have a 4 GTS. However, I have a 991.2 so I don’t think that’s going to work. And looks like they don’t make a .2 version. :-(

Bought a set of rear Michelin PA4 N-spec for the 911.

Bring on winter.

Unfortunately on the road the next 6 weekends in a row, so have to do some early planning.

Luckily there doesn't seem to be a specific standard for this. I've seen several variants. Just went with the one that esthetically pleased my brain the best. Examples:

Finally got around to mounting a dash mount for my phone. Had it on my bmw for a year and removed to see if any adhesive residue remained. None….on the 911 it goes! Initially I was fine having the phone in the armrest compartment hooked up for CarPlay. Pain in the *** (or back as the case may be). This setup is far more user friendly for me.

Funny, I mounted my Magsafe mount in the same exact location. I used the adjustable mount by Moment: https://www.shopmoment.com/products/...afe/adjustable

Works great!

About $100 worth of orings.

These are just regular orings for coolant connections to the thermostat housing. My car developed a leak there and, you know, mission creep. I’m addressing all sorts of things while I’m in there.

Replacing the tensioner and tensioner pulley as well, but why can’t you buy just the idler pulley? Can only find the whole ‘console deflection roller’ assembly. The exploded diagram doesn’t list a part number for just this roller…its just slightly different than the tensioner pulley. Weird, but I guess I’m gonna reuse the old one for now.

Best combo upgrade for the 911 manuals. A must in my opinion. Love the Function First ****!

The tensioner assembly is around $250, but the part that typically fails is the tensioner damper, which is available for about $30 by itself. I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen just the pulley by itself or if it would be advisable to replace just the pulley as the wear item is typically the dampener. The damper has a tendency to develop leaky seals and all the oil comes out, and this happens over time regardless of mileage, just quality German o-rings aging as German rubber does. You can inspect pretty easily with the car on the ground, just look under there and you can find it, and if it is failed it will be covered in oil/dirt sludge like this (yellow arrow):

there is a thread about replacing the belt/tensioner with tips on getting out the carriage bolt. I won’t retype it all here, but if you can’t find the link (because Rennlist search sucks) just private message me and I’ll look it up.
