Finally got to install several things I baught for my 991 in the last few months.
1. Custom shift **** by Manuel
2 Numeric Silver Aluminum Pedals
3. Soul sport headers & Akrapovic Exhaust & COBB Tune
I was contemplating the same route. I have the Akrapovic exhaust and it is already pretty loud. Thought headers could be obnoxiously loud. I hope I am wrong.
Would you please share your experiences regarding the sound and also the added power by headers and tune ?

I have OEM PSE on my .1 GTS and Soul Sport Headers, they have not introduced any obnoxiousness to the over all sound, there is a slightly higher rumble at low RPM and 5500-7500 its as loud as OEM with a slight increase.
Where the Akra added higher quality sound and a few ponies, the Headers will give you Very noticeable increase in TQ, enough to feel a difference ( again not Dyson cars level of TQ, but very very noticeable) and RWHP
Sport Headers is a Must do for N/A cars. Add a tune like softronic and its perfection
I would agree with @desmotesta Headers are almost a must for N/A cars. I have them on my C63 too. Big difference in TQ. The sound is not crazy on my C2S. The crackles are more pronounced and deeper in Sport+ Not sure if that is the headers or the combination of both. I did not run the Akra with OEM headers. I really like how the car sounds now thoughj I would say, if you spent the $$$$ for the Akra system, then why not complete the set up with a good set of sport headers?

We need to do a socal drive. I am running fabspeed sport headers and AWE exhaust. My car is sooo loud and I just got a ticket from LAPD for modified exhaust LOL

That's what I'm afraid of with new headers/cats, that it'll stay louder no matter what mode I'd be in.
Right now I have the AWE Switchpath exhaust only with stocks headers/cats, and in normal driving mode its undistinguishable from stock w/ zero drone. However, with the PSE button on in Sport, it's a Karen's worst nightmare. At least this way I can always just turn off the PSE and Sport if drive past police, or need to sneak in or out of my neighborhood without waking anyone up.

The Akra with valves closed sounds stock but deeper.

LAPD sucks, I live in the IE where all the Chargers, Challengers and Mustangs live. LOL everyone has modified exhausts. Mine is actually quieter haha. Check out WCPA Southern Cal FB Group. They organize drives also Roadstr Ap.

I wonder if any of the Harley owners with loud pipes "that save lives" ever get tickets from the law...
Bought 2 sets of front and one rear set of Endless ME20 track brake pads today from a fellow RL member. I'm going to see what they are like to daily. If too noisy I'll swap them back and forth for track days.

Thanks for the feedback. If Soul + Akra is livable, then I’ll pull the trigger.
would you say the tune is a must or more like a power delivery gap filler ?
For anyone considering Soul, Akrapovic, or a combination of the two - contact me by phone/email/DM and mentioned this thread and I'll get you a special deal - David

I think you will be ok without it but again, why not go all the way and do the tune? Its the least costly upgrade in the system. 10k Akra, 3k Headers, 1200 tune. (Rounded numbers). I say go all the way.
The cobb tune does not consider aftermarket upgrades. Not sure about softronic. To get the absolute most out of the set up, dyno tuning or remote logging would be required.

Tune isn’t a must. TBH I didn’t notice too much with my tune. Headers for sure.
