Took it in for service last week and was told my battery is getting weak, so I went out and got an Interstate AGM. I have the POR V3.0 scanner so I went ahead and did the BMS update although I still haven't heard definitive word if it's really necessary to do so.
Had H&R Sport springs and 14mm/7mm spacers installed. After installation, noticed they were actually for the Carrera 4/4s and GTS (mine is a standard Carrera), apparently the vendor I bought them from sent me the wrong ones or had the wrong fitment info in the ad. They installed fine, and I haven't noticed anything weird. Maybe just higher spring rates for the extra weight? Anyways, the ride height is now perfect IMO. They handle a little better than stock (haven't pushed it too hard yet), and have a firmer ride that isn't much rougher than stock. They seem to be very well controlled over bumps and work well with PASM. Not sure why everybody says these have a harsh ride, they really aren't that bad. Plus they clear speed bumps easily which is nice. They also came with their own bump stops. The car gets way more attention now

Extremely happy with the results, LOVE the fact that the headers did not increase any drone or reduce usability on a daily drive.
Hoping to get a tune eventually, but amazed by this much increase in performance from a bolt-on item.
I had the same results as you with my sport cat header install, I also run an AWE switchpath and car sounds like a cup car. On highway cruising speeds with the PSE button OFF the drone is minimal to non existent as I kept my side mufflers. The power increase is real, especially at daily street driving RPM's. Not really much more peak HP or TQ. Companies tend to advertise peak power numbers and I think that's why people opt out of aftermarket headers for our NA cars, but don't realize it's the lower RPM's where you really feel the difference on the street.
